We have a service contract with them that was originally done through Costco. They came out for part of the regular maintenance. After they left there was no power to the basement air conditioning unit or thermostat. It was working fine before. They cannot come out for two weeks to fix it even though they broke it. Welcome to 2022.

Call the emergency number when my AC which I purchased from them four years ago quit working, the after hour CSR stated someone will give me a call back. We never received a call. I had to go to Walmart to pick a portable AC. Please don't advertise a service you can't honor.

Have had this company come and service my HVAC unit after freezing over four times. Every time a technician came out was different and every single one gave a different reason. Finally, after requesting the most senior technician to come out, he states its due to a bad evaporator coil and would cost $1,400 to change it. When scheduled service, a different technician (of course) came out and assured it was the issue needed replacing. I paid 1,400 dollars in full only to leave and come home not two weeks later on Memorial Day to the unit being frozen and 84 degrees in the house. When I called the company, the operator was polite and apologized and asked what I would like him to do....really. Couldn't even get a manager to speak to. Unbelievable. This company's incompetence and ignorance is beyond belief. I cannot believe I was assured the issue was going to be fixed after being so hesitant about spending so much money and only to last a week and half. This company is the biggest scam. You will REGRET EVER USING THEM.

We had a 21-year-old AC system that was running but not cooling during a very hot spell. We were desperate and I was glad this company could come out on the day I called. Unfortunately for us, the technician charged $700 for useless repairs which left us in the same boat: a system that was running but not cooling. Turns out what it needed was a coolant which is no longer obtainable. This should have been explained up front. Upon complaining afterwards I was told they might give me some credit if I would buy a new system from them. But I cannot trust a company that misled us by taking a lot of money for what they euphemistically call a ""partial repair.""

We purchased our HVAC system from Costco this company was the vendor.
Initial installation was good and follow up services was ok for the first year or two.
Then we made the mistake of purchasing a new Hot Water Heater from them. This Rheem unit had the defective fuel control valve and it failed a couple of months out of warranty.
Getting it replaced was a terrible experience. The tech had ZERO customer service skills and after a few calls to the manager we got the ridiculous price quoted ""down"" to $485 (there are other reviews here with the same story).
We had bought and paid for the annual service agreements for HVAC and plumbing, but cancelled both and fired them.

DO NOT USE this company. They have no integrity and blamed the manufacture, pandemic, supply chain and more and never took ownership or responsibility for getting our hot water restored.

My water heater was purchased new the end of October 2020. from Cool Air Mechanical; It is under warranty. When I called Monday evening (after 6 PM) requesting a service call, I was informed that I would incur an additional emergency fee. I asked if they repair person could come early the next day. However, my scheduled time was 3-5. The repair man arrived at 7:30 pm and after looking at the water heater, determined he didn't have the part. Now I had to wait another day for a repairman. As of day two, no one mentioned any costs. Being the machine is under warranty, I did not anticipate any costs. When the tech arrived he said it would be about $885.00 stating the parts and labor are not covered. I was devastated. I hadn't had hot water for 3 days and felt backed in a corner. I was told that I could contact Rheem, the manufacturer of the water heater and request a free gas control value as this is the part that was broken causing the pilot light to keep going out. Then once I receive the part from Rheem I could send or deliver it to Cool Air and I could get a refund for the part's cost. Once I got through to Rheem I was told they do not have any of those parts and do not any any date when they can be restocked. The part, if they did have any would cost $144.00 After hours of the tech being there, he then realized he didn't have another needed part and then had to go back to the office and then back to me. My cost was $485.00 for labor. My major issue is with Cool Air Mechanical and their lack of up front information about cost. Robin

This companies customer service is awful. We overpaid for a horrible duct cleaning where the crew refused to bring in their good equipment because it was raining outside. Then when the duct cleaning crew came into our home they cursed in front of my family, solicited my wife for their personal dog training company, and then damaged our vents. I complained to their customer service and the head of the customer service called me. He offered to have my ducts recleaned and my vents replaced. I measured all the damaged ducts and emailed him the info with no reply at all. They just ignored me, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I know they do the work for Costco but there are other good deals with other warehouse companies. Run as fast as you can away from these people. They are awful and don't care about their customers at all they take advantage of them.

Their service is spotty. Some times it's a good technician and other times not. However, if you need medium size service done like removing or installing a single line they won't actually help with this.

This company came to service my neighbor AND DAMAGED MY PROPERTY!! I immediately called the company, thinking they would take responsibility, but my initial call was dropped. I called back of course but reached a foreign speaker who did not understand English well enough to address my problem or perhaps she just didn't want to address my problem! The item damaged is less than a year old and cost over $1500. Rather than take responsibility for their mistake this company has tried to blame everyone else.
Do not use this company!!

I am giving the extra star for the competency and demeanor of the men that actually do the work. Ian and Nate are great. Other than that, I'm joining the 1 star reviews after what feels like a bait and switch. When the workers arrived this AM I was told I owe an extra $2,800 to install my bathtub, which was previously included in another invoice, or at least by having a picture of the tub area on an invoice was what I was led to believe. I waited many many months to have my tub installed due to an employee quitting or firing and then an employee illness (thankfully he's ok) and because I had already paid for it. They had come out for another look around to see what would be needed a few months ago. No additional estimate given. I called yesterday and triple checked if my work was being done today. I had rescheduled numerous things and had been cancelled on without warning several times. I was told yes, they're coming and no further payment was mentioned. They showed up this morning and said it would be an additional $2,800. I'm not sure who they think they can spring a $2,800 bill on without any previous estimate given or warning, but they did. I was absolutely enraged and the poor guys got the brunt of it. Then they switched it to $1,800 which I still felt backed into a corner to pay. I need my tub and and am not waiting another 10 months. I rescheduled so many things to be able to be home today. An additional tub install estimate and the number $2,800 doesn't exist anywhere before today. Deceptive business practice. Look elsewhere.
