Company Overview
Established in 1979, Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical has been providing service to Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties. Conejo is a family-run company committed to ensuring dependable, quality service and comfort in every corner of your home.
From our modest beginnings to where we are today, Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical adheres to the values set by owner Wally Dickey in 1979: Consistency, Honesty, Professionalism, and Reputation.
Under the original name Conejo Valley Appliance, Air Conditioning and Heating, Wally's mom answered the phone on weekdays, and he conducted service calls on weekends. Wally's son, Branden Dickey, took over as CEO in 2005, continuing his father's legacy. Branden prioritized outstanding customer service, growing the company into the most reputable home services provider in the Conejo Valley, with a fleet exceeding 70 trucks and divisions for plumbing, electrical, and generators to ease home upkeep.
Our customers frequently refer us to their friends, family, and neighbors. This allows us to concentrate on serving our local community and keeping our neighbors satisfied.
The owner of Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical is Branden Dickey. Branden, a lifelong Ventura County resident, began his path by assisting his father as a child in repairing microwaves and refrigerators, cultivating both technical abilities and a profound understanding of customer service that would guide his future business practices. When he was 25, he purchased the company and transformed it from a small two-truck operation into a fleet of 70 vehicles delivering comprehensive home services. With a strong commitment to the community, Branden strives to offer the highest standard of customer service available.

Thank you Craig McConnell for being so helpful and professional.you definitely answered all my questions , now i can make the final decision much easier, you are amazing

Had a very positive experience with this business. They ensured my issue without heat was resolved as soon as they can. They had good pricing, efficient work and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend them to anyone.

I've been using Conejo for almost two decades. They have always been kind, on time and up front about their pricing, and they always do a great job (despite very hard sells to upgrade services once they arrive). Two days ago, the home thermostat went out. I called them to ask how much it would cost to replace it, since it was they who had replaced my thermostat the last time. I was told that it would cost $97.00 for them to come out, and then another $200-400 for the thermostat itself. I laughed, and said that I can get the top of the line thermostat from Honeywell or similar for less than $100 on Amazon, or the local hardware store, and told them that I would get the thermostat myself, and just have them pull the old one off and click on the new one. I was told that if this was the case, that the cost would just be the $97.00 for them to come out and install it. The guy called 20 minutes prior to arrival and arrived on time. But after spending ten minutes asking me about the breeds of my cats and dogs, which I thought was odd, especially since he was terrified of my security dog, who didn't like the guy, clearly, he then ""asked me"" what they quoted for installation, which he should have already known, obviously. He then said that the $97.00 was just a ""membership fee"" and that the call cost and installation would be additional. (WTF??) So I told him what I'd been told, and said I'd call Conejo to see why there was conflict. The rude woman who answered the phone immediately launched into a sales pitch for their membership, and in interrupted her to tell her that I was NOT INTERESTED, but she rudely continued, stating that she was doing me a favor by explaining it to me. I asked her one more time why they are now giving me another price, and she transferred me to someone else who said that the $97.00 call fee didn't include installation, and so I told them to forget it and hung up. I told ""David"" the installer and he said that he would call and see what he could do, but he didn't. I believe that he was texting them while I was on the phone. This all felt very staged, and something that happens at every call now, seemingly. I told David that this was horrendous behavior, especially considering what we are all going through right now, and that I had lost my home in the Palisades and my family home there is also gone. And yet here these ***holes are scamming and price gouging, despite everything going on. I told David to get out of my house, and slammed the door. Just as I sat down to write this, I get a call from Conejo, telling me that, after ""review"" of my original quote, they would do the job for $145.00, and I told them to go and **** themselves, and hung up. Two days wasted, my time wasted, and they attempted to defraud me. I hope the fires don't head THIS way and burn all of THEIR families' homes to the ground. SHAME ON YOU!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
Was just sent an ""invoice"" for today's call, and here are the lies they're using to cover their horrendous behavior. My version of events is the true version.
""On arrival, showed customer booked price of installation of the new thermostat customer will provide (LIES!!!!!!!)
149.00$
Between the customer and the call-center there was a miscommunication (LIES!!!!) before I could let customer know we will honor the price of $97 and install a thermostat provided by the customer. The customer already had told me to leave her home so I was unable to let the customer know that Office called me to try to ask if I was still there. I had told Office I had just left office. Tried to call to let customer know that they will honor the $97 (LIES!!!!!!!) There was a miscommunication between the office and the customer (LIES!!!!) there was no notes letting me know or any prior phone. Call letting me know that the office to charge $97. Task #
HPTSTAT (More lies!!!!)
***The office telephoned me five minutes after the guy left, offering to do the job for $149.00. ***
Not only are these people scammers, but hey are liars as well.
You have been warned!!!

called conejo up because I was leaking RO water and they said I needed to replace my entire RO water system... I called another plumbing service and oh man you guys are lucky I forgot the name of the plumber that told me what was wrong with my system... he was able to troubleshoot the problem without having to come by my house and give me a service charge... anyways the other plumber that I called (not conejo HAPE) said it was just a blockage in one of my lines... five to ten minutes later I pulled out a spaghetti sized clot in my line... I wanted to drop this review because I'm not a disgruntled consumer and I'm not hating on Conejo HAPE from getting that 'fetti'... I wanted to drop some knowledge for people to know is that before a homeowner goes and presses the panic button for DefCon 5 to have your whole RO system replaced or anything replaced research and troubleshoot check out the small likely issue(s) that could be causing your problem(s) before you go nuclear and decide to change everything out... congrats conejo HAPE for making that money and getting 5 star reviews cause I've seen you guys grow from just heating and air to now heating, air, plumbing and electrical... I just hope you guys don't get too corporate on the consumer and try and sell whole units instead of suggesting simple fixes... a good word is more profitable than the amount of units you can sell at any given time... continued success to everyone at conejo heating air plumbing and electrical! thank you

I liked the soft serve ice cream and all the heating elements. My apartment has always been warm because of these guys and I love it super thankful.

I just had a new central heater and new ducting installed in my home by Conejo Heating and Austin and his team did a fantastic job! I'm very particular (maybe a little OCD) about the quality of work and I had no issues. Not only were they professional and very competent, but they were friendly and polite which made working with them a pleasant experience as opposed to other contractors we have all experienced in the past.
They are definitely my ""go-to"" company for heating/air and plumbing in the future.
In fact, I'm reaching out to them in the next couple of days for a plumbing job I need. I feel I can trust them to give me a fair price and amazing quality of work.
Thanks guys!
Richard

Since I previously have given Conejo Home Services (formerly Conejo Heating and Air) a 5-star rating and glowing review for their HVAC installation, I thought I should provide an updated review about more recent service appointments for the sake of transparency. Twice I've had scammy/scummy service techs come out and try to scam/upsell me. First with regard to my HVAC and then with regard to my bathroom plumbing. Each time, I got charged a few to several hundred $$$ for services that either weren't performed to begin or only partly performed or a consequence of upselling unnecessary items. However, to the CREDIT of Conejo Home Services, after I called in to complain to management on both occasions, not only did they refund the repair charges, but they also refunded the upsold items. And they promised to send out more experienced/senior techs in the future who wouldnt blatantly pull this kind of BS. I am still a customer of Conejo Home Services and am still on their Gold Maintenance plan (which they also refunded me on after those two pathetic visits). The next set of techs who came out for subsequent visits were very professional, polite, and efficient and did not try to upsell/scam me. So I remain a customer. I'll update my rating again in the future as needed based on the service.

The service was easy to schedule and the price was fair. The technician was friendly and arrived during the time window provided. I recommended to my mom.

Over the years we have purchased an HVAC system and a water heater from Conejo. Both systems are excellent. We have found the technicians and supervisors at Conejo to be prompt, courteous, highly professional and honest. When our homeowners association threw us a curve on an installation, Conejo accommodated and modified our installation, actually saving us money. Aside from all this, everyone we worked with was friendly and very good at their respective jobs.

We had a problem as a result of a neighbor's installation performed by Conejo H A P E--a vent was installed on our side of the property that needed to be removed per HOA and the 6-inch hole needed to be repaired.
There wasn't any movement for 2 weeks but after making contact with Ralph the GM (who contacted me), he said he'd have the problem taken care of the next day and would even come out personally to make sure it went smooth. And he did exactly what he said he would do. He's obviously a man of his word and also cares about addressing people's concerns promptly.
Ralph and his brother Andrew are nice guys and run a nice family business and they apparently care about doing right by people. I would give them a chance if I have the opportunity.
The ONLY reason this isn't a 5-star review (for the prompt correction and personal interest taken in the job) is that the above-mentioned problem should never have occurred in the first place.
