In my youth, I admired my father's ability to repair anything and everything in our home. If something was discarded as broken, he would rescue it and bring it back to life. I recall one Christmas when he crafted a full replica of Santa Claus in his sleigh, complete with lights, and placed it on our roof. He was incredibly handy and, to me, a genius! Naturally, I aspired to be like him, but there was one obstacle—I was a girl! During the 1950s, that was an issue, so I put my dreams on hold and attended college. After graduating at the top of my class, I entered Corporate America. In my free time, I practiced and learned various trades. Over thirty years, I completed home improvement jobs of all types and ultimately started my own company—Concierge Renovations.
