In my youth, I admired my father's ability to repair anything and everything in our home. If something was discarded as broken, he would rescue it and bring it back to life. I remember a Christmas when he created a full-sized Santa Claus in his sleigh, adorned with lights, and mounted it on our roof. He was remarkably skilled and, in my eyes, a genius! I wanted to follow in his footsteps, but there was a challenge—I was a girl! In the 1950s, that posed a problem, so I set aside my dreams and pursued college. I graduated at the top of my high school class and ventured into Corporate America. In my free time, I practiced and learned various trades. For thirty years, I took on home improvement projects of all kinds and eventually founded my own company—Concierge Renovations.
