Company Overview
In 1938, Community Electric Cooperative was born from the commitment of the Holland Ruritan Club alongside community leaders to supply electrical power in the rural areas of Southeastern Virginia. Prominent attorney Paul L. Everett, who hailed from Suffolk and was part of the Holland Ruritan, led the charge to establish the electric utility that currently serves more than 9,500 families and enterprises.
