Company Overview
Established in 1938, Community Electric Cooperative emerged from the dedication of the Holland Ruritan Club and local leaders to deliver electrical services in the rural regions of Southeastern Virginia. Prominent attorney Paul L. Everett, who hailed from Suffolk and was part of the Holland Ruritan, led the charge to establish the electric utility that currently serves more than 9,500 families and enterprises.
