Company Overview

Established in 1938, Community Electric Cooperative emerged from the dedication of the Holland Ruritan Club and local leaders to deliver electrical services in the rural regions of Southeastern Virginia. The late Paul L. Everett, a well-known attorney from Suffolk and a member of the Holland Ruritan, spearheaded the initiative to create the electric utility that now supports over 9,500 households and businesses.
