Company Overview

In 1938, Community Electric Cooperative was born from the commitment of the Holland Ruritan Club alongside community leaders to supply electrical power in the rural areas of Southeastern Virginia. The late Paul L. Everett, a well-known attorney from Suffolk and a member of the Holland Ruritan, spearheaded the initiative to create the electric utility that now supports over 9,500 households and businesses.
