THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE --DO NOT USE THEM
This company truly needs a zero rating. My home warranty company referred them because I was having a problem with a fuse that kept tripping. The tech came out, stood in my house and said, ""Its suppose to do that"". WHAT??? I explained to him that my kitchen lights flickered every time the dryer went on. He said, that was ok and suggested I not have my lights on when I run other appliances. He was in my house a total of 5 min and looked at absolutely nothing including the fuse box. I escorted him out as slammed the door on him as he tried to say sorry but if we wanted they could come back out again under the 90day coverage period.

DO NOT USE THS COMPANY! LIARS! Joseph came out to look at several fans (AHS sent him out) I was home alone and just by his appearance (long scraggly beard and spoke oddly) I was a little uneasy. He came in as if he was scoping out the place very weird. Nevertheless, he looked at 4 fans and determined that one of them needed a new part and another needed replacing. He fixed two outlets and he said he would come back to replace the fan. I paid him by check (did not leave an invoice) and just before he left he told me that he was going to go to lunch and pray. I thought that was odd, but whatever.
A couple of weeks went by and no word from him. I called AHS and they said I never paid the service charge of $75 to First City Electric. I obviously did since I had the copy of the check. I then faxed a copy of the cashed check over to AHS and I called First City Electric and spoke to Freddy or Fergie? couldn't really understand him...and he said he spoke to Joseph and said that I never paid him. WTH? And that he would call me back later, but he never did.
I Finally spoke to AHS again and they sent another electrician out to my home for a second opinion. As it turns out, only one fan needs replacing. The electrician also mentioned that he knows of Joseph and that he does very shoddy inexperienced work and has been inappropriate with females in the past. He has informed/complained to AHS about this and will do it again. He said he would not leave his wife in the same room with him!...Always trust you gut instinct!

Mark came out today and he was great!! He explained in detail why our breaker kept going out and let me know that if the problem keeps happening to call them again in the next sixty days. He also helped us with a few smaller issues that we were having and he was great about everything!! He was very friendly and professional. The company gives a three hour window of when the technician will arrive and he showed up only thirty minutes into that window, which was great because it opened up the rest of my day!! I will use this company again when I have any other electrical needs!! Follow up was horrible!! They did not show up when they said they would!!! Never sent the head tech as they said they would!! Mark did not lie, it was the man who answered the phone that does not know how to tell the truth!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you were referred to them by your Home Warranty, please ask them to choose another company. City First Electric is a joke! People answering the phones are clueless and not helpful at all. The company is very unreliable, unprofessional, and are liars! They lied to me and my home warranty company. I had an appointment scheduled at 10am on a Friday with them to have a tech come out and inspect my failed appliance which no one showed up at the time provided. I waited and waited until 40 minutes passed and I finally gave them a call to see why a tech hasn't arrived and when I should expect him. ""Fergie"" the rep, told me that the tech is stuck in traffic, so I asked him why I wasn't informed the tech was going to be late? ""Fergie"" told me Mark, the tech, was on his way and should be there within the next 15 minutes. I told him that's fine and I should see him shortly, we hung up and a minute later Fergie called me back and told me that Mark was not going to be at my house until noon. Noon comes and no Mark. I waited about another 15 minutes and I called them again to ask why was Mark not at my house yet, Fergie than told me that Mark got caught up at another clients house and he should be done and on his way now. I called my home warranty company to complain about this City First and they put me on hold to call them. They told me that City First scheduled an appointment with me at 1! That was a lie! The initial appointment was at 10, not 1! Anyway, Mark finally showed up and only inspected my appliance for 2 minutes and said ""I'll be back Tuesday before noon with the parts to fix it"". Ok so Tuesday noon comes, no show again. I waited half an hour and called City First asked to speak with supervisor, she didn't seem to care but all she told me was that an appointment was scheduled for me for the upcoming Saturday. I said ""No, Mark said today - Tuesday."" She told me I was mistaken, how was I mistaken? I wrote it down on my calendar! She said she'll look into it and will call me back. After about 10 minutes, she called back and told me that someone will be out in the next hour. NO ONE SHOWED AGAIN! I called them again and this time they told me that the part for my appliance needed to be approved by my home warranty and that I needed to call them. I called my home warranty authorization department and was told that they had given City First authorization on the Friday, my initial appointment day. By now it is 3pm on the Tuesday of Mark's no show. Call City First many times and left messages and no response back. I decided to use another phone and this time they answered, by now it is 4:58pm, this time they apologize for the ""mix up"" and since it is near closing time - they had to schedule it for another day and that day was Thursday. ""Thursday at 10"", the rep stated. I replied, ""Ok for sure Thursday at 10 and not any other time?"". The rep responded, ""Yes, ma'am Thursday right at 10."" I should have known with this company but I believed anyway. Thursday comes and 10 passed, 11 passed...ok, here we go again! Called them and was told the tech was in traffic. Really!? So no one showed until a little after 1. This time around it was another tech with parts in hand and ready to go. He took one look at what he needed to fix and said, ""That is something we no longer fix....It is not safe for me to fix that...So I will not be working on it..."". Why wasn't this told to me when the first tech came out? They did nothing but waste my time! The business is a complete joke! I wanted to give zero stars but the one star is for the last tech's honesty. He said he will notify my home warranty right away that it is not fixable. He left and within an hour my home warranty called me. City First Electric needs to be shut down asap!

I was sent by Home Warranty of America to have my Panel inspected. The technician by the name of Mark came out. He didn't say what his diagnoses was but did inform me that it was faulty. He said he would send the info to Home Warranty. Mark never responded to Home Warranty of America nor to my calls. The company didn't answer the phone most of the time but when they did they assured me they would get the info to Home Warranty. OVER 4 weeks later they sent the info and LIED about the diagnoses. City First Electrical and Mark are unprofessional and lack the knowledge of an electrician. I called another electrician and they told me a very different story than Marks. I would advise people to look elsewhere or research the issue before going to City First Electrical. ( I just found out they didn't want to perform the job and keep their name with Home Warranty of America).

I am a fan of Joseph the electrician who came to my house. I had a pool electrician come out prior to Joseph to fix an outlet connected to my pool computer. The pool electrician came out and said, it's an electrical issue not the pool computer. Joseph from City First then came out and found that indeed it was related to the pool computer. He reset it for me and viola, my outlet started working. He really did not have to do that and could have said to call the pool guys again, so glad he gave it 110%. Ask for Joseph to come out, he is good and passionate about his work.

Our Air Conditioner electrical panel melted from heat and bad installation from whomever installed it prior to us moving in to this house. I called City First Electric this morning basically expecting no one available until tomorrow or who knows when. Mark their technician was at my house within 45 min! Got right to work. He worked on it for over an hour and fixed it along with a bad outlet we had in our garage. Outstanding!!! I fully recommend City First Electric!! Thanks Mark and City First!
