The Story of City Electric
City Electric was founded in the city of Stephenville in the late 1940s by Mr. Stephens. Mr. Stephens developed the business into a renowned provider of electrical services, quickly earning a reputation for reliability. For over three decades, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after starting the company. After many years, Mr. Stephens chose to retire to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. Mr. Bragg was that individual.

In the year 1982, Mr. Stephens approached Mr. Bragg to buy the enterprise. Naturally, David saw this as an incredible chance to lead a well-established business and seized the opportunity.

By 1986, David recognized that the thriving company needed to broaden its horizons, so he formed the company under the name “Stephenville City Electric”.

I moved to Stephenville to study at Tarleton State University, married, started a family, and made it my home. This town is my home, and I enjoy being a business owner. Owning this business has given me opportunities to expand and thrive not only my business but also a community of friends. We started with electrical work and expanded into Watson Insulation under the same management. I anticipate more growth this year with the introduction of solar energy solutions.
