The Story of City Electric
City Electric was founded in the city of Stephenville in 1949 by Mr. E.L. Stephens. He transformed the company into a highly regarded service provider, quickly earning a reputation for reliability. For more than thirty years, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after starting the company. In time, Mr. Stephens decided to step back to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. David Bragg was that individual.

In the year 1982, Mr. Stephens invited Mr. Bragg to buy the enterprise. Naturally, David saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead a well-established business and jumped at the chance.

By 1986, David recognized that the expanding company needed to diversify its services, so he established the business under the name “Stephenville Electric, Inc.”.

I moved to Stephenville to study at Tarleton State University, got married, had children, and decided to stay. I consider this town my home, and I enjoy being a business owner. It has provided me with opportunities to expand and thrive not only my business but also a network of friends. We started with electrical work and expanded into Watson Insulation under our leadership. I am excited about future expansion this year with the introduction of solar energy solutions.
