History of City Electric
City Electric was founded in Stephenville, TX in the year 1949 by Mr. E.L. Stephens. Mr. Stephens shaped the company into a highly regarded service provider, quickly earning a reputation for dependability. For more than thirty years, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after starting the company. In time, Mr. Stephens opted to sell the business to someone who could maintain the quality and ethics he had built. Mr. David Bragg was that individual.

In 1982, Mr. Stephens asked Mr. Bragg to purchase the company. Of course, David saw this as an incredible chance to take charge of a respected company and embraced the offer.

In 1986, David realized that the thriving company needed to expand its reach, so he formed the company under the name “Stephenville Electric, Inc.”.

I moved to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University, settled down, raised a family, and called it home. I proudly call this town home, and I take pride in owning my business. This venture has opened many opportunities to expand and thrive not only my business but also a community of friends. Our journey began with electrical services and grew to include Watson Insulation under our leadership. I anticipate more growth this year with the start of our solar power division.
