My experience was mixed. I asked for an estimate and the owner came out 2 days before the work was scheduled. When the electricians arrived they did not have all of the parts identified in the estimate. That makes no sense to me--why were they not prepared?
They then had to go to the store which took at least 30 min. They also charged me for 2 electricians but one was learning and the lead electrician had to redo all of his work. They also did not have all of the equipment and had to borrow items from me.
I was then billed for 2.0 hrs more than they were at my house. I called the owner and he discounted the bill by only 1 hour. For the above reasons, I would not recommend this company based on this one experience.

I highly recommend this company. They were top notch professionals. Kind, polite and highly experienced. They did all my lighting jobs, even corrected other work that was not properly installed. The electrician told me about a known issue with the breakers we were having problems with. I contacted the manufacturer who is agreeing to replace the 4 breakers at a cost of $100 each. I will have Charleston Electric come and put them in once I receive them. Above and beyond service.

Charleston Electric really has a smooth process for quickly and efficiently getting permits in gear prior to initiating projects. On the admin side, both Cameron and Crystal do an outstanding job of getting the little details captured in the permits.
On the installation side, I highly recommend requesting Dylan. His professionalism, level of knowledge and attention to detail is phenomenal. Very clean installations and takes much pride in his work.

After being told by family how good Charleston Electric was, maybe I just had high hopes. I requested a quote for a 200amp panel upgrade and Chris came out as scheduled and was very friendly and personable. He told me he'd have a quote to me within a couple days. 2 days passed with no update so I called and spoke with Summer. She assured me I'd have a quote ready by the end of the next day. 2 more days go by with no update. I call again and am told it shouldn't be much longer. I wait another full day and nothing. Now when I call no one answers on 2 different occasions, 2 separate days/times, no response. I finally got them on the phone again today and again, she assured me I would at least get a call back. They are now closed and nothing. Unfortunately even established companies lie consistently. Almost 2 weeks wasted. Thank you.

This company is the company to go with if you're looking to infallible a generator. Top professionals who do great work and clean up after themselves better than most. Thorough and hard working who don't write until the job is done. And if they can't get the job done in a day, they show up early the next day to finish. They installed my generator and built a platform and the county inspector even had great things to say to them.

They came out to do a hassle free quote. Provided some great suggestion and they are very professional. I plan to use them again.

I will never, ever use this company again. I had a small emergency Sunday morning. The electricity in my bedroom was not working. I called who was open. They told me they charged $250 for a minimum of 2 hours plus parts. The guy came late in the day. They had me send a picture of my circuit breaker. Just in case they needed a part. The guy was very nice. Turned out it was nothing. He opened one of the plates of the socket which was loose. Turned out that connects the rest of the sockets in the room. I had pulled out a plug and seemed it loosened it. He was at my house for a half hour. When I looked at my checking account today I saw they charged me $500!!! I called immediately very upset. Must be a mistake. The girl on the phone said "" oh no!!! We charged u $250 per hour for the two hours!"" I told her what was she talking about!!!? That's absurd! I was told I was to be charged $250 for 2 hours plus parts if needed!!! If they were going to charge per hour?? THEN U TELL THE CUSTOMER U CHARGE $250 AN HOUR FOR EACH THOSE TWO HOURS NO MATTER WHAT. And I told her I never would hv agreed to that. And, how they explained it was very very misleading. And I was not paying and I'd like a credit. If not I will put in dispute with my bank. Seriously, GE doesn't even charge those kind of prices to make a service call. This company has some nerve taking advantage of ppl like this!!
She had me hold on for 3 minutes. Got back to me and had the nerve to say her "" manager"" would get back to me! She was in a meeting! Right. Then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. She promised she would get back to me at the end of the day. Of course she never did. I knew she wouldn't. I went to my bank and told them what happened. They put in dispute. They will get their $250. But I wrote a terrible review on Google and now on Yelp. They are very stupid not to have gotten back to their customer. A small business relies on repeat business and recommendations.
I just don't understand ppl. To take advantage like that. They double talk you!! So beware! Don't do business with this company!!!
