They guys at Carter Electric wired up our Hot Tub and also helped with some other electrical issues we were having. With all the construction going on in our city due to the Carr Fire last year I was thankful to have them take care of us. I inquired the other day about possibly hiring them for a small outlet project, and was turned down due to ""heavy workloads.""

While I understand this place is popular and is backed up, if I was running a business I just wouldn't tell a potential client no and that you are to busy for them.

I did explain that the work I was requesting (upgrading some outlets in the house to tampered resistant ones) could wait and didn't need to be done soon, but I was still turned down. It just didn't sit well with me, as my wife and I both felt like we didn't matter to them.

So I guess I won't be using this company in the future, which is unfortunate for them because I have some really large projects next year that will require a lot of electrical work.

I will say that the owner seems like a very nice guy though and was quick to respond which I appreciated

I called in the middle of the afternoon and had to leave a message. I was calling for an electrical bid on installing an attic fan. It was a simple job estimate. I understand that some jobs are small in comparison as far as revenue for the company but a call back would show that the business has acknowledged that I have value as a customer.This business did not even have the courtesy of a call back that they were not interested or too busy. Service is more than just what you provide for your existing customers but also what you provide for potential customers.
