In 2001, during a significant energy crisis, Brooks Technical Electrical was launched. Our initial focus was on the installation of photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial properties. As we grew, we branched out into additional technical fields within electrical contracting.

Ron Brooks, the owner, served in the Navy as an Electronics Technician on a destroyer. Following his Navy service, he returned to school and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from UCSD. Wanting to serve a greater purpose while earning a living, he realized that electrical contracting was his vocation. Ron re-enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2005, where he completed Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Warrant Officer Basic Course focused on Information Technology. Ron has served two deployments in Kuwait and Afghanistan. After coming back from Afghanistan in December 2011, he worked on re-establishing his electrical contracting business.
