Brooks Technical Electrical was founded in 2001 amid an energy crisis. We initially focused on installing photovoltaic systems for homes and businesses. Gradually, we diversified into other technical aspects of electrical contracting.

The owner, Ron Brooks, began his career in the Navy as an Electronics Technician aboard a destroyer. After his service, he pursued further education and earned a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from UCSD. Driven by a desire to help others and earn a living, he discovered his passion for electrical contracting. Ron re-enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2005, where he completed Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Warrant Officer Basic Course focused on Information Technology. Ron has served two deployments in Kuwait and Afghanistan. After returning from Afghanistan in December 2011, he focused on revitalizing his electrical contracting business.
