Dave came out to diagnose an electrical problem in my rental property. After hearing the problem, he knew immediately what to check. I appreciated his experience, prompt diagnosis and immediate action. He got SMUD out to the house within the hour and they fixed the problem. He even called to follow up on the fix.

Once again Brannan Electric save the day at my home--he replaced a bad switch to the front patio lights AND installed a timer while he was at it, and he did it all for an incredibly reasonable price in comparison to a quote I received several years ago from another for a timer. I've used Brannan Electric several times in the past, and Dave has always been reliable and quickly fixed my problem. In my experience, many in the home repair industry are very unreliable (they make appointments then don't show up--or call), and when they do show up charge excessive fees for poor quality work. Not Dave. If he suspects your problem is something you can fix on your own, he'll walk you through it on the phone for no charge. Who does that nowadays?! Great old fashioned service by a knowledgeable electrician.

David came out as part of a home warranty call! He was fabulous! He was able to reassure me that the problem was not a wiring problem but a light fixture issue -- very relieved that my house wasn't going to catch on fire. Also, took the time to fix the light fixture at no additional charge -- pieces of an old bulb had broken off and it took some fighting with it to get it out. David would not give up until he won the battle. He was also nice enough to check some other outlets for me and saved me a couple of hundred dollars on a new light fixture when the old one is working now just fine! Would definitely use him if you are in his area!!!!

My hot water heater went out, and I discovered that it was due to a lack of power. I called Dave Brannan for electrical service. He was more than helpful and actually did some troubleshooting over the phone. I was able to solve the problem as he walked me through the steps. He saved me the $130 to come out, all while sick at home. I would definitely call again for electrical problems!!

Dave will be a great electrician for some, but not for me, nor could I recommend him to friends or family.

He did some work for me last year. He got the job done, and I appreciate that. What I didn't know when I hired him was that I would be his assistant for the almost 3 hours he was there. He claimed he gave me a break on the price for helping him. I claim he also spent time repeatedly calling Home Depot, then flirting with the woman on the phone (""I want to date your voice"") so that he could tell me what the pricing was on some lightbulb, which was not necessary and something I was fully capable of looking into myself. In the meantime, I was on my way out of town that evening and had to leave late because I couldn't get anything done while he was here.

He is friendly. He will give you recipes and restaurant tips. But he leans to the right and I did NOT appreciate him using a derogatory in reference to gays nor did I want to go see his political bumper sticker on his truck... which he insisted I do. Also, while he was very friendly with me, he pulled major attitude on a phone call with a potential customer, only to make remarks about the man's lack of English skills once they hung up. He tried to give the guy some advice over the phone, but it was loaded with unnecessary attitude.

Had we been at his place of work, I would have left. If my guy had been at the house, he would have told Dave to leave. But I was home alone at the time, getting ready to go out of town, and my electrical issues were in his hands. I needed the issues resolved that day and didn't have a back-up plan. I put on a friendly face and tried my best not to stew over some of his commentary.

Dave may be a good electrician, but he's not for everyone. I will be hiring someone else for the other projects I had in mind.

We had a electrical problem after installing a new electrical outlet and called Dave. He was friendly and helpful and gave us great advice on things to try before having to pay him to come out to the house. His advice worked! He called us back to learn what we found and thanked us for considering him. It was old fashioned great service!

I have and old house (built in 1942) and the overhead light in my grandkid's room started going out on us - it only worked intermittently. My grandson said, ""Gampa, my room broken."" So today, Saturday on a holiday weekend, I called Brannan Electric and Dave answered. I explained the problem and he took my number saying he'd call me back. In a few minutes he called and said he'd be by in about another 20 minutes. Good as his word, he showed up and started working on the light switch, making sure that's all it was. He's a really friendly guy and in less than an hour he had the switch changed (no charge for the light switch), had looked at my old fuse box, told me my breaker box was fine, and charged $10 bucks less than he had quoted me over the phone. He also gave a lollipop to my grandson! I am really happy with his service and it's nice to have someone come into my home and be nice and honest. He wasn't trying to sell me anything extra I didn't need and did a great job, exactly what I needed done. Dave Brannan is awesome. Call him and you won't be disappointed in the service you receive. Dave was amazing and I would recommend him for all your electrician needs. He is very personable and extremely competent to take care of your electronic home repairs. He helped our family with two flood lights that had unique issues but were no problem for him. His price is fair and his follow up awesome! I will only use him next time.

I had Dave come out to help fix the bathroom dimmer switch controlling one of our light bars. Dave was very punctual and friendly. He brought the correct dimmer switch and replaced the dimmer switch very quickly. After this, we had him check some of our two pronged outlets to determine whether they could be replaced with grounded three pronged outlets. He also answered some of our questions related to problems we were having with outdoor lighting. We would highly recommend him for your electrical needs and plan to use him again in the near future
