He helped our family with two flood lights that had unique issues but were no problem for him. His price is fair and his follow up awesome! I will only use him next time.

I had Dave come out to help fix the bathroom dimmer switch controlling one of our light bars. Dave was very punctual and friendly. He brought the correct dimmer switch and replaced the dimmer switch very quickly. After this, we had him check some of our two pronged outlets to determine whether they could be replaced with grounded three pronged outlets. He also answered some of our questions related to problems we were having with outdoor lighting. We would highly recommend him for your electrical needs and plan to use him again in the near future

We had a problem removing a very old lightbulb from our bathroom (a part of the lightbulb got stuck and broke off) and called Dave Brannan to see if he would be able to fix it. He saved us money by talking through how he would recommend fixing it (using WD40 and needle nose pliers) and voila, we were able to do it ourselves. Thanks to him for being honest, helpful and empowering us to take on this small job ourselves. We would certainly call him for bigger electric jobs we need in the future.

Look no further... this is the electrician you are looking for! After a break-in where the burglar ripped out the Air Conditioner fuse box in an attempt to stop the house alarm (unsuccessfully), I was without AC. I received David's name and number from friends who were pleased with his service in the past. From there, my day just got better. I contacted David and he answered his phone right away. Though he was booked for the day, he recognized the priority of the AC issue, due to the sweltering summer heat, and made himself available that afternoon. He had the AC working within 5 minutes of being onsite. While I had him onsite, he also resolved power issues on an outlet in the basement (unexpected GFCI connection and bad breaker) and an outlet in the loft. On top of that, he also fixed the drive-way lights while I was preparing to pay him! All of this was resolved in under an hour!

Not only is David an exceptional electrician, he is a wonderful guy! He was friendly, personable, and informative and we had a wonderful conversation while he was onsite. I could not be more pleased with the service and personal care I received. I highly recommend Brannan Electric for all your electrical needs. I'm so pleased, I am already planning some upgrades that will bring him back onsite. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Highly recommend.
Used Mr. Brannan twice in the last month for a breaker replacement and a dishwasher that wasn't receiving power. Good guy, with lots of good referrals for other services. Turns out the dishwasher itself was the problem but he checked out all the outlets in the area and made sure things were safe since the dishwasher seemed to be shorting out at the point of its hardwire connection (which he thankfully disconnected). He's a good guy.

I was out of town for a month when the wind broke a large branch off my tree on a Friday night, which took down the power line. SMUD came that same night and rolled up the wire, informing me that they could not put it back up until the repair of the masthead had been permitted, repaired, and inspected by the City. Of course it happened on a weekend!

I got Dave Brannan's name from Angie's List and he had tons of very positive reviews from customers. He called me within 30 minutes of my call on a Saturday morning and went out to check on the damage the same day. He gave me an estimate that was reasonable then proceeded to pull the permit, fix the beast, and bird dog the City permits department until they actually came out to inspect and approve it.

Had it not been for him bird dogging this job, it could have taken weeks to get my power back. He made it his business to keep checking with the City to make sure the inspection was scheduled and actually done. He did his part and went the extra mile to make sure others did what was required of them to complete the work and get my power back on. Dave kept me informed so, even though I was 3000 miles away, I knew what was going on. He helped out in all kinds of ways that made things easier for me. The check I wrote after all that was the exact amount he'd quoted me.

I have dealt with all kinds of bad contractors over the years. This guy is the guy you want. He came up with solutions to potential problems related to my older equipment that was safe but not up to code. Because of him I didn't end up having to replace a bunch of equipment that still worked. I've sought his advice subsequently about some other electrical problems and never had any inkling that he was anything but fair and truthful.

Based on my experience with Brannan Electric, I sure wouldn't put much stock in the bad review he got from Kelli R. He's no con-artist and sure as heck not lazy. He could have taken advantage of me in my time of need because it would have been easy with me out of town. I was warned that some electricians would do that, but he didn't. This guy's the wheat not the chaff.

So, I'm actually a little embarrassed to write this review--and you'll understand why in just a minute. On a Sunday, the lights and fan in the bathroom stopped working. First, of course, I tried resetting the circuit breaker. That was the extent of my electrical fix-it know-how. I hopped on Angie's list and called Brannan Electric because the profile said they welcome small jobs. (I was really hoping this was a small job!) Since it was Sunday, I had no desire to call an electrician out, but figured I'd set up an appointment for a weekday as soon as possible.

David called me back about 5 minutes after I left the voicemail. He was friendly and personable. He instructed me to go hit the ""reset"" button on the GFCI outlet in the bathroom. This, of course, fixed the problem instantly. He didn't set up an expensive house call, he didn't expect anything in return (except for asking me to call him if I needed an electrician in the future!)...

Seriously, now I know better...but how often does a service provider call back on a Sunday AND also tell you how to fix the issue yourself AND not charge you for a service call?

I am so dissatisfied and frankly disgusted by the customer service here. I feel punked and ripped off, and while we never ended up getting our service, there was a lot of stress only to have the electrician rudely leave.

My boyfriend's dad made an appointment for 10-11 AM the other day. Left my bedroom door open and listened for the door knock with the dog (who is always listening for the door), and somehow we missed the appointment. I was baffled as to how I missed the door knocking. He called my bf's dad and claimed to have knocked for 15 minutes. This simply isn't true. The dog would have heard something if he had knocked more than even once.

So we rescheduled for the next day. He shows up, storms in for the check, is clearly angry that the check was for one trip and not two (I didn't handle the check, just being there to answer the door), and leaves before we have a chance to try to pay him the full amount. As he leaves he says he'll just bill the company. So, we made two appointments with this guy and got absolutely nothing done! And he made the money for both appointments without doing anything other than driving to the house. I will never ever go to this company for any reason. Terrible customer service, and a waste of time and worry. Good for him for getting paid regardless. Blech.
