John and the team are incredibly professional. I needed an HVAC circuit set up in an old condo (from the 70s) to be run across the entire unit. The team was quick to determine the best approach to set up, including recessed lighting. I couldn't be happier with the job they did. They also provided great tips to make sure the lights were set up the best possible way, have spare lights for the future, and automate the lighting controls. They are great at communicating progress on how they're doing and any issues they find along the way. Highly recommend them!

John has helped us out a few times with different issues around the house, he and the Bayshore Electric team are always reliable and communicative. I like how he answers all my questions and has helpful tips to troubleshoot in the future.

Nice people, high cost and mediocre quality

John and his team are friendly and approachable. We worked with them on a few projects, but kept having issues and we hoped that things would get better or they'd compensate for past mistakes. Unfortunately this wasn't the case.

Pros:
- Gave us a generator for the night when doing a panel upgrade
- Friendly people
- Pricing used to be good, but then they drastically increased prices

Cons:
- Left live wires uncapped in the ceiling (I had to catch this an another electrician was shocked that this happened)
- No-show for at least 3 appointments. Routinely late for other appointments
- Poor communication, including in cases of no-show and spending weeks waiting for follow-up work, and not doing all the work I initially asked
- Didn't use proper AFCI circuit breakers according to code (I had to catch this)
- Didn't make any attempt to do framing around main panel after upgrade (Stucco guy said he had never seen an electrician make so little effort)
- Used an unnecessarily expensive main panel without mentioning it, possibly because they assumed we wanted solar in the future (another electrician said it was unnecessarily 50% more expensive since we didn't end up using that configuration)
- Charged $750 for 1.5 hours of work to ground 3 outlets. This is absurd and an absolutely regret letting them get away with this. They finally showed up after 2 no-show appointments and I was too busy and tired to discuss why that rate was far too high, especially considering all the previous mistakes that had been made. This was the last work we had done with Bayshore Electric.

Based on their good reputation I hired Bayshore to rerout wiring for our driveway lights. It was quiet complicated due to a motion detector light and nest camera.
John and Chris did a great job! They were on time and I even got a text stating they were en-rout. John understood exactly what I wanted to do and is very capable. I had done a bunch of wiring previously but my back prevents me these days.
He even helped me troubleshoot sensor problems with our garage door opener.
Plus they were pleasant and friendly!
I will not hesitate to hire them again!
They know their stuff!

John is very responsive in getting back to sort out work if things are not quite right.

I have nothing but praise for Bayshore Electric. They quickly called me back after I left my initial message. They were able to schedule me for same day service, as I was worried about my wiring after a voltage surge. Mr. John Martinez came at about 6:30 pm and quickly fixed the problem. He went above the beyond the call of duty by driving to Home Depot to buy a surge protector and installed it on my main panel. Thank you for a job well done!

They are too busy. They give appointments far in the future and make mistakes in communications. I recommend finding another electrician.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with Bayshore Electric. I have a number of fluorescent light fixtures in my kitchen. One fixture wasn't working. BE said there would be a $250 troubleshooting charge to come out. OK. I scheduled for a guy to come out. But no one showed up at the scheduled time. I eventually called BE to ask where the guy was and they said they would send someone else out. No explanation of what happened with the first guy. A young guy comes out, works for an hour or two, installs a new ballast and guess what? Nothing is better! The fixture that wasn't working is still not working. Then he tells me that he can't fix it without going to the store to buy another ballast and that the charge will be another $200 **or more**. I paid the troubleshooting fee and asked him to leave. So, assuming that he would have fixed it, it would have been $450 to fix one broken fluorescent! Was this reasonable? You be the judge.

Bay shore Electric is clearly busy. The first visit for a quote was scheduled weeks ahead. John, the owner, came as scheduled, gave a good talk, offered an alternative solution that I liked and promised a proposal/quote by next day. I was impressed. However, that was the last time I've head of him. I called the company a week later to find out if/when the proposal is coming and was assured that it was soon. Alas, it didn't. It's a pity they don't respect their clients to at least drop a line to say they can't/won't do the job.

Bayshore Electric is amazing! The dynamic duo of Henry and Santiago were wonderful. My wife and I needed to add some electrical outlets in order to hide them behind our mounted TVs and they did an amazing job. They were quiet, thorough, answered my questions, cleaned up and didn't make any marks on the walls. They also installed 2 new chandeliers that look great and work perfectly. Thanks again guys! I would recommend Bayshore Electric to anyone on the Peninsula!
