For generations, Basin Electric & Technology has been a trusted provider of electrical and technology services in Midland, Odessa, and the surrounding regions. In 1950, Theron Gamblin founded Basin Electric. Shortly thereafter, in 1951, O.D. Schoolcraft and his son Charles joined the growing company. The Schoolcraft family has been part of the Basin Electric story for four generations. However, the Gamblin and Schoolcraft families are not the sole contributors to the company’s success. Over the years, the dedication of Basin Electric's employees and their families has been vital to the company’s expansion. Our company started with only six team members in 1950. In the tough economic climate of the mid-80s, while many companies shut down, we continued with only three staff members. Today, we are a thriving family of over sixty employees at Basin Electric. In 2014, we embraced the future by merging with a local tech firm, Just Macs, owned by Henry Greer. With this acquisition, we transformed into Basin Electric & Technology.
