Needed an electrician to install over 40 recessed lights, 4 fans, and completely wire my kitchen prior to my kitchen cabinets going in. Rick came to my house the next day and gave me a bid. He was here the next week along with his workers and completed the work in 2 days. He was very straight forward and did an amazing job. I would recommend him again to anybody looking for a good electrician.

I called Rick to come and provide an estimate for some work I needed to get done. On the agreed upon day, Rick didn't show and I had to call him, and left a voice message, to find out if he was showing up. He said he couldn't make it that day and scheduled for the next day. The next day comes and again, no-call, no-show. I texted him to tell him to forget about showing up. Only then did he call me and say he couldn't make it and offered to come by then. At this point, I didn't want to work with him. No-call, no-show is unacceptable in the customer service world.

Just would like to send a shout out to Rick Barger and his crew for all the amazing work they did at our house in Simi Valley. This local company does outstanding work. These guys did such a great job at our house we called them back for more work. The first job they installed 20 LED recessed lights in our downstairs... they also installed extra electrical outlets, replaced old ones, replaced switches and installed 3 ceiling fans.

Second job they installed 17 LED recessed lights upstairs, 3 ceiling fans, one bath fan (I SWEAR is so quiet I can't even hear it to know if it's on).. I can see the fan moving. Replaced outlets, switches, fixed some goofy wiring job, installed 12 sconces outside, 5 outdoor fans, fixed an older 5 bulb lantern in the backyard and added wifi switches that can be scheduled on a phone and turned on remotely if you want to.

If you have electrical work needed, do hesitate to call them. That ROCK!

Rick the owner of Barger Electric really came through for me on a relatively small electrical project of installing 2 ceiling heater fans for my bathrooms. He answers his phone when you call him and he shows up on time when promised. He gave me a good price for the work involved but where he shined above the rest is his willingness to get the job done now as opposed to the typical (let me check my schedule and get back to you BS) He actually called one of his guys in the field and asked them to come by my house TODAY and get the job done! I went from estimate to work completed in probably less than 4 hours total! His guys were clean, polite, respectful, and fast. They never complained about anything like so many other tradesman often do in an effort to inflate their original estimate (i.e. oh wow this is harder than I thought, you really have a tough house here, I did a lot of work here, etc, etc). The price was the price and I SUPER appreciated that! I will continue to use Rick and Barger Electric for all of my electric needs in the future and would be happy to refer them to anyone who asks me for a ""referral"" of a good and honest electrician. We've been searching for a reliable electrician and today we hit the jackpot with Barger Electric. The issue today was certainly not dire but Rick responded within a couple of hours and had it fixed with a part he happened to carry on his truck. So now that I have someone who will answer the phone, show up when he says he will, do a great job and won't leave with all my money, I'm going to make a list of all the electrical chores we've been putting off and call him again!

I have used Barger Electric for a few years now and they are by far my go to Electrician. I've used them to install recessed lighting and multiple ceiling fans on two of my homes. I've also had them install a new electrical panel and new electrical throughout my garage. They are very responsive and I had an issue with one light not dimming properly and they came and fixed it with no questions asked. Don't look any further for a great and very reasonable electrician.

Two years ago we did a partial kitchen remodel and spruced up the old homestead a bit with new paint, base boards, floor and cabinets refinishing. We also changed out some lighting and upgraded all of our outlets. The work was done by a contractor we knew and his referred electrician. Shortly after the work was done (and everything looked great) we began having trouble with three outlets in the kitchen sometimes they worked and most times they didn't. After the contractor checked it twice and the electrician checked it twice, they blamed each other and stopped returning our calls! We lived without half of our kitchen outlets for at least 18 months until finally my wife had enough and suggested we call Barger, a local business that she'd noticed their trucks in the neighborhood. Rick is amazing! We called him yesterday and he came out today. In 20 minutes he'd identified the problem and in less than an hour, the work was done. The most disconcerting thing is that it was all due to a broken wire in the wall, the kind that burn down houses! Thank you Rick Barger for SAVING MY HOUSE!!! And all for just the price of a service call!
