Since my last review Rick and I have communicated our misunderstanding and have moved forward with electrical work needed in my home. The installation of a ceiling fan and LED lights along with other work was performed in a professional manner and in a reasonable time period. Rick's prices were reasonable and he even troubleshooted some others issues at no charge. I would recommend him and his partner due to their professional work.

Wicked Awesome service. Rick did an amazing job. 34 recessed lights. 4 fans. Added some sockets and dimmers. Also trouble shot a preexisting electrical issue and solved it.
He was very competitively priced.
He was easy to communicate and work with.

Job well done!!! We had ceiling fans and recessed lighting installed. They did a great job, very professional and nice! Very little mess and they were great about avoiding to make holes in the drywall to install the fixtures. Highly recommend and great price, too!

Rick showed up on time and did a great job removing fluorescent lights in the kitchen and replacing them with recessed lighting. He was extremely polite. Took great care in protecting the kitchen and did a great job of cleanup afterward. His pricing was fair - no surprises at the end. Would highly recommend for electrical work around the house.

Good guy, reliable and most importantly, honest. He installed canned lights in several rooms for me. He had a new guy working for him upstairs in our master bedroom and the guy drilled through the ceiling into the roof. He didn't know it at the time but it made a hole that would later let rain in. The first time it rained I called Rick in a panic and he came immediately and took 100% responsibility without hesitation. THe next day he had a roofer and a drywaller/painter at my house fixing everything.

Mistakes happen with every company, but finding someone who stands by their work and fixes those mistakes are invaluable in todays world. Thanks Rick.

Her two story house suffered a water leak and after the first floor ceiling was replaced she had Rick from Barger Electric install recessed lighting in her family room and kitchen. Wow, this guy is a flake. I thought I had a good relationship with the guy (Rick Barger) because I met him at the gym. Nice enough guy, but no follow-through. Made an appointment, then met him, walked the job. After that, no follow-through, left message 3 times but no call back. He just fell off the face of the earth. Then, I get an email from Joel Fischenich from Barger that he wants to add me to their mailing list so I accepted their request. However, still no phone call back and its been a week so I had to move on and hire someone else. Just seems like a waist of time to set an appointment, then walk the job-site, and never hear back without even a courtesy call.

Used Barger in the past and Rick was terrific so obviously I called to use again. Unfortunately I guess he was is always great (at least the first time around) and must be very busy because after numerous calls and unanswered messages I was unable to set up an appointment and had to use Good Light Electric - another electrician in Simi. Oh well, he was terrific too. I'm happy Barger is making money but I wish they would at least let the customer know they are not taking new jobs at this time so we can avoid the hassel.
