Just had an awesome service experience with Austin Electric. They were able to give me a quote over the phone and quickly get more on the schedule. Billy came out and gave me an honest opinion about what work would be entailed in one of my projects so I could decide if it was worth the cost. He also wrote down a detailed description of items that I needed so I could run to Home Depot and pick them up myself. When Home Depot did not have exactly what he specified, he was able to rig together a solution that works beautifully and looks great as well. Billy was incredibly fast and personable and I loved having him in our home. The price was more than fair and had me questioning why I had waited so long to make some needed repairs. Definitely an all around home run- responsive, quick, excellent service, great pricing and quality work. What more could you ask for? Would not hesitate to call them again.

I left a message with Allen and he returned my call promptly. Billy came out to help me install over 25 wall switches and helped me diagnose a problem with a kitchen light fixture. He was on time, polite, courteous, and did great work. Installing all of those switches takes considerable time, and I had to run an errand that couldn't wait while Billy was here. I had 100% trust in him being at my house alone while I was gone. He'll be the man I call for any future electrical needs.

Got an appointment, guy came out and said he didn't have the materials needed (to install a light switch and run a line to my ceiling fan). Said someone would call me back to set up another appointment. No one EVER contacted me again. It's so far been 2 weeks. My guess is they won't call. I'm not going to bother calling back myself because 1. they didn't call to schedule 2. wouldn't an electrician come with BASIC materials?

UPDATE - I am ammending my review because Alan called and TOTALLY made things right with me. Not only did he get someone out there promptly but he kept the line of communication open while he was trying to schedule it. After talking to the electrician that came out, I found out what happened to the previous guy. I love when companies care enough to make it right. I will use Austin Electric in the future!

Awesome, very well run business. The owner as well as all of his guys are proffesional, ontime, and curtious. Quotes are very reasonable and the work they do is second to none. I had a back alley on my business that did not have sufficient lighting, Austin Electric came in put up lights and now it glows. They will recieve all of our business from here on out. Glad I found them!!

The outlets in our 3 bathrooms weren't consistently working so I called Billy at Austin Electric Service. He was able to come out the next day and after just a short period of time was able to figure out the problem. The issue was quickly solved in a matter of about 20 minutes: wiring behind a discreet outlet in the bathroom water closet had loosened. Billy was very friendly and professional. VERY affordable. Great find, recommended. I asked Austin Electric to install a security light and diagnose / resolve a mysterious electrical problem affecting several outlets, and they completed all the requested work quickly, at a lower cost than I expected, plus they communicated clearly about scheduling and scope, both listening to me and explaining what was done wrong by another contractor that caused a problem.

Has an odd issue in our old house with basically half the house losing power off and on and also flicking power during high wind and/or hard rains. Called Austin Electric Service and as usual, they had someone out within hours. Not the kind of business that just does a ton of work without trying to save you money, the first visit cost me less then a normal service charge. Ended up that something else also needed to be fixed. Two days later I was able to get them over again. This time Billy checked a few things and figured out all the issues causing our problems. Billy took into account that they had just been out two days before. We've had no problems since. I'm now thinking of calling them back for some update/remodel type work.

Wow! What a great experience! This is hoe electric companies should do business. Billy is the man (electrician). Austin electric answered my call, we agreed on a time they would be out. Billy came on time & fixed my fan problem & while he was here he fixed some other electrical issues. What a pleasant person & very knowledgeable. The price was fair. Billy & Austin Electric have become my go to guys for everything electrical.
