Company Overview

A well-functioning HVAC and plumbing system is crucial for a happy household. If something goes awry, you need a dependable service provider. This is where Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing steps up. We are proud to offer our services to the residents of Douglasville, Atlanta, Marietta, Decatur, and surrounding areas. Our mission is to improve comfort in both homes and businesses through outstanding service at competitive prices, but what drives us is our dedication to giving back to the community that has given us so much. You can often see us volunteering our time and skills for local charities and nonprofits.

Jerry Hall, our owner, started his HVAC career in 1980 after three years of service in the U.S. Army. He established All-American Air Conditioning and Heating, which he sold in 1997. In 2002, Jerry made his comeback in the comfort business by founding Assured Comfort Heating & Air. In 2004, after several successful years, he learned that a National Guard unit from Douglasville, GA was being deployed to Iraq. He chose to step up and offer no-cost HVAC services to these heroic families. Since then, we at Assured Comfort have recognized the impact a single company can have on its community. Over the years, we have transformed into a community-focused HVAC service provider. We actively engage in and contribute time and resources to various charitable organizations, both local and national.

The owner and veteran, Jerry Hall, founded Assured Comfort back in 2002. Jerry aims to provide safe and informed home service solutions to the metro Atlanta area while also supporting the community. He strongly believes in caring for both customers and employees. He is part of the Chairman's Club for the Douglas County & Cobb County Chamber. Moreover, he is a board member of the Douglas County Public Education Trust.

We tried to call this service because they claim to be open 24/7. While they might be ""open,"" they certainly don't want to make any repairs, which is a little annoying when you have a broken heater in February. The technician we spoke to was very rude, and refused to come out even though he didn't have any calls and had gotten permission from the owner of the house. While I was very unhappy that he was unwilling to come out, it's probably a good thing because I wouldn't want someone so dismissive and thoughtless in my house at night. I called their ""answering service"" to explain my issues and hoped that they would send a different technician. They expressed surprise that I had called five times and still hadn't had a visit, and then said they would ""connect me to a technician"" and hung up. I still haven't heard back from them.

Assured Comfort Heating/Air have been excellent to work with. The heat went out in our new house and Mike came that same day to provide an evaluation of the situation. He let me know that the unit needed to be replaced and showed me where there had been previous water damage. He provided me with a quote. I was really impressed by how Mike handled a phone call from another client and how thoroughly he responded to his questions. His customer service skills are excellent. He was very professional and just a nice guy. I was able to get the new Lennox unit installed in record time by Hector Ruiz who did an excellent job. Hector really went the extra mile to make sure everything was working well and that I was happy. I needed to have the insulation replaced for the HVAC system and Hector and Damey came out and did an excellent and very professional installation job. I have been very impressed with Assured Comfort and would highly recommend them for your Heating, Air and Plumbing needs.

Recently had my air ducts cleaned and overall the service went well. I deducted stars because the technicians didn't feel the need to protect the areas around which they were working, specifically my clothing from dust as they cleaned the duct in my closet. Said ""oh you can just dust them off"".

I can't say enough about this company. Our A/C went out in 90+ degree heat and we ended up calling another company on a Sunday. They took our money and gave us a temporary fix. We were back to square one within a week. After doing our research, we went with Assured, and the name totally fits. They assured us that they would be able to resolve the issue. From the first phone call, to the friendly sales person, to the knowledgeable technicians...everyone was top notch. The work was quality work at a fair price and they didn't attempt to upsell us. They only recommended what we needed because they knew we had just wasted money with another company. I wrote everyone's name down and will update this review as soon as I find my notes - I would really like to give them all credit! We now have a maintenance contract with them so we will never be put in that predicament again. Do yourself a favor and go with professionals who know what they're doing!

29 July 2017.
Smyrna / Mableton GA.

The fans on both upstairs & downstairs condenser units stopped working.
Dan Pelletier ran the diagnostics and new capacitors were installed
replacing the burned out ones.

Two new start up kits were also installed to assist the condenser fans
during start up.

Everything else was checked out, filters for the blowers in the attic
and basement.
Every one was happy, cool air was blowing.

Dan was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
He also gave me 'the' heads up that refrigerant R22 was
being phased out by 2020.

I've used Assured Comfort for HVAC unit repair. They are courteous, professional, fast, and fair. I appreciate the fact that I do not feel like I am being taken advantage of. I appreciate the time they take to explain how things work and what is needed to fix the problem. Thank you Michael A. and Scott T. I highly recommend this company.

We are totally ECSTATIC! Our previous system was 20 years old, plagued with problems, and not very energy efficient. We obtained 3 estimates and Assured Comfort was the Big Winner! Bobby Rodriquez showed us how paying a little more for top quality energy efficient units would save us $$$ in the long haul. Additionally, he showed us how the previous HVAC company that we had been using for years had taken shortcuts, improperly pieced together ducting and jury-rigged the entire system to make the old units work ... totally wasting energy dollars! He also priced top quality Lennox units at a lower cost than other companies were pricing their middle tier units. He was $5000 lower than other bids with higher seer-rated equipment. We purchased 1 AC, two furnaces, 2 tankless water heaters, 3 thermostats, and 3 top quality ozone air purifiers. Additionally we had the ductwork professionally cleaned. The installation/cleaning crews were fantastic. It was essentially a 3 day installation (big house) and all Assured Comfort employees were on-time, polite, courteous, efficient, and respectful of our property! Bobby supervised every aspect of the installation, and explained how to get the most energy efficiency out of our new system. He spent over 2 hours AFTER the job was completed, showing us how to program the thermostats, link them to the Wi-Fi and control them from our smart phones ... Superior Customer Care! OMG what a difference! The entire house is incredibly comfortable and the basement doesn't smell like a basement any more. Utility bills are at an all time low. We are saving over $200 a month! Thank You Assured Comfort! You Guys Do Things Right! Highest Recommendations!

I was shopping for a new furnace and an individual from Assurant Comfort Heating, Air, Plumbing at that time seemed to far be the most thorough salesman. But he mentioned particular things that he told me were that were Federal Standards. When I mentioned these Federal Standards to other people giving me estimates, they gave me that ""are you totally serious? He told you WHAT?!"" look, After that, I of course was second guessing him. He was telling me that it was Federal Standards that you must have a light in the crawl space of houses, and you must use PEX piping.

After getting those ""are you totally serious"" looks, I did some research online. I learned what PEX is and could not find anything about Federal Standards, although I specifically found out that it is piping only for water, not natural gas. I also found out that having lighting in crawlspace is nice and convenient, but not a Federal Standard. I then joined a couple groups on Facebook that consisted of professional plumbers, and they laughed at that person telling me that. I then called the Cobb County Development & Inspections Division, and that person ALSO gave me that ""are you serious? He told you that?"". That person told me that PEX is simply easier for installation because it is flexible piping, and again, it is not for natural gas. I then called Fulton County, just to compare the standards of Cobb, and pretty much got the same response.

I actually went a little overboard and got 10 other estimates, and overall, most of them were actually more thorough when doing the inspections, and never mentioned anything about Federal Standards.

As Jeff Foxy would say, ""If you listen to this guy, you must be a redneck"".

Be sure to do a little research when you hear things like this.
