Jerry Hall, the founder, began his journey in the HVAC industry in 1980 after three years of service in the U.S. Army. He created All-American Air Conditioning and Heating, which he later sold in 1997. In 2002, Jerry returned to the comfort sector with the establishment of Assured Comfort Heating & Air. By 2004, after a few prosperous years, Jerry discovered that a National Guard Armory unit from Douglasville, GA was heading to Iraq. In response, he committed to offering no-cost HVAC services to these heroic families. Since 2004, we at Assured Comfort have acknowledged the influence one business can exert on the communities it serves. As time has passed, we have evolved into a community-focused HVAC company. We are involved with and support a variety of charitable organizations, at both local and national levels.

Jerry Hall, our owner and a veteran, founded Assured Comfort back in 2002. Jerry's goal is to offer safe and expert home service solutions to the metro Atlanta area while contributing to the community. He values the importance of taking care of both clients and staff. Jerry holds membership in the Chairman's Club of the Douglas County & Cobb County Chamber. Additionally, he serves on the board of the Douglas County Public Education Trust.

Do not use Assured for plumbing issues. We had to have our main sewer line replaced. This is a big job, and we were told they would arrive first thing in the morning, but they did not arrive until about 3pm. They worked until 11pm, which is past our city's noise ordinance curfew of 9p and my typical bedtime. During the job, they accidentally pulled and disconnected our main waterline from the house waterline in the basement. They were unaware of this until I told them when I just happened to notice it when I went to lock the basement door. If I didn't notice this, water would have uncontrollably been spewing into our basement when they turned the water back on. They did a quick fix and left parts of pipe and materials all over the place. In addition, they disturbed our vapor barrier and tracked dirt all across our basement.

We paid for a new line install, but they quickly realized that they could not excavate through the tree roots in our yard and ended up threading the new PVC through the shell of our sewer line (the collapse was right at the foundation), which doesn't require as much work. This should be a cheaper job.

The grading they did was horrible, probably because it was dark when they were finishing. They didn't bring their own lights, and were working on pipes with their phone lights. I let them borrow my headlamps. We have a low point in our from yard which I had to fill with dirt because water started pooling. They left a gap between the ground and the concrete drain line along the house, which allowed water to seep to our basement wall, causing mildew/algae build up. They came back out and denied it was their work. I had a basement company come out and confirmed that the recent algae was due to their work.

They admitted that the person who did the job is no longer with the company, which makes us feel even more insecure about the quality of the job done at our house.

Had a part installed on my AC unit in September 2021 and it failed in June 2022. David came out and recommended the entire $4,000.00 unit be replaced which the general manager, Joey, approved! My system is now up and running and I wasn't charged a penny! Way to go guys!!! If you have air conditioning or plumbing needs (I've used them for plumbing before too!) these are the folks to call!!!

We installed two central dehumidifiers in 2018 and both units were first incorrectly installed and didn't work at all. The company ended up coming back multiple times to address the issue only after multiple calls. To date both units are still not working right and one is not working at all. Our technician Scott (good guy but helpless against bad management) told us to speak with management to address the issue. We now have followed three times since then, each time we were promised a call back the same day. Nothing! The company does not stand to their mistakes and refuses to fix problems they caused. We have canceled our agreement and are moving on to another company. Cannot recommend this company.

I wish I am allowed to give no star. This entire situation with Assured Comfort Heating and Air has been infuriating and disappointing. I did not inspect or sign the invoice even though Assured Comfort Heating and Air & Plumbing claims that I did. Their invoice (which they did not give to me, the invoice which was sent through the e-mail) states: ""I have inspected all of the work done by **** pursuant to the contract terms agreed by me at (the customer's home). I find that all work has been completed in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. I have been given the opportunity to address concerns and/or discrepancies in the work provided, and I either have no such concerns or have found no discrepancies or they have been addressed by ****** to my satisfaction. My signature here signifies my full and final acceptance of all work performed by the contractor pursuant to the contract as agreed."" I did not sign it. The technician did not confirm the appointment and showed up when I was not home. I did not meet him.
1. My signature is/was not on the invoice.
2. I was and still am so displeased because each day reveals more areas of how Assured Comfort failed horribly to do its job.
3. Assured Comfort used the $46.80 flyer to worm its way into my house to ""inspect"" my HVAC. No inspection was done as you can see later.
4. The technician removed the air supply hose inside the house and either forgot or refused to replace it.
5. The technician removed the refrigerant pipe(?) outside the house and either forgot or refused to replace it.
6. I called Assured Comfort to redo the work they failed to do in the first place. They said that I must pay another money ($79) before they would come out again. I refused to pay. Assured Comfort refused to come out.
7. A vent cleaning company was going to clean out my vents and all hoses today. As soon as they opened the A/C unit inside the house, they discovered a dead animal. They recommended that I hire an HVAC company to remove the animal. This was the SAME HVAC unit that Assured comfort ""inspected"" on May 9, 2021. The animal appeared to have been dead for months. I did not believe the vent cleaning technician when he showed me the picture of the dead animal he took with his own camera, a dead animal in my house. I walked to the basement with the two guys, gave them my camera, and watched them take a picture of the inside of the furnace and the dead animal with my camera.

I have so many questions.
Why did Assured Comfort not see this animal in the A/C unit during its inspection?
Why did Assured Comfort leave my A/C hose hanging outside of the unit?
Did the animal get into the A/C unit from the hose being left hanging on the side of the furnace?
Why did Assured Comfort remove my refrigerant line?
Why did Assured Comfort claim that it came to inspect my house but made everything worse for me?
And so many questions...

I'm changing my review. This company did me wrong on a repair, and it costs me approx. $900 in the end to have someone else come in and correct it. All they had to do was be honest with me, but they tried to cover things up, making it worse than it should have been. As I said previously, the installation and everything was great. It was when they returned to work on an issue exactly one year later to the day the system was installed, that they lied about a problem and covered it up. I will not use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

The entire experience has been fabulous! My sales consultant, Ben, was so helpful. I learned so much from him amd he was there to answer any and all my questions.

My installation team, Albert and David, worked amazingly together. They have an unbelievable system to make sure everything is installed precisely and efficiently! Albert showed me how to use my new thermostat and walked me through my entire new system.

The ladies that are in the office have been pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable as well.

I am SO HAPPY that I selected Assured Comfort to install my new HVAC system! Thank you so.much everyone!!!!

Beware! Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing should not be trusted, especially for plumbing services. I've been living in my house since it was built 13 1/2 years ago. Fortunately, there has been only 3 times I've needed to call a plumber. 1) To fix the garbage disposal 2) To fix a toilet and 3) To stop running water from the shower head in the master bathroom on Christmas Eve 2020. No floods, no water flow issues, no water heating problems ever in my house. I called Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing to simply stop the running water in the master shower on Christmas Eve.

When the plumber arrived, I made it very clear upfront that my water operation should remain as is. This instruction was repeated multiple times, so he wouldn't forget. The water pressure and heat level has remained the same since buying my house in 2007. It's been perfect with no problems.

After diagnosing the problem in the shower, the plumber said the cartridge needed to be replaced. He asked to see the water valve, so I took him to the room where it's located. He said a part needed to be replaced. After he gave me the price, I told him that's a job I can have American Home Shield warranty do. He was adamant that if I hired AHS to replace the part and the cartridge went bad, then they would not cover it. For this reason, reluctantly, I agreed to let him to do the job. It was Christmas Eve and I wanted to make this job easy as possible, even though I knew I was getting ripped off in price.

The plumber said the part he was installing was higher quality than the one in place, but since the threads didn't fit, he needed to find the same brand and model as the bad part and install that one. I asked if the price would be reduced since the part being installed will actually be lower quality. He said the price would be the same as the better quality part. After the plumber completed the jobs, he said the water pressure was reduced to what is considered a healthy level, under their code and I wouldn't notice the difference. Not only did I notice a significant difference in the water pressure, I noticed that the shower handle was reinstalled, after replacing the cartridge, turning in the wrong direction.

I specifically told this plumber, Chase, multiple times not to change the water pressure, heating levels or anything that would disrupt my house's current water operation set by the builder's plumber in 2007. He did not have my authorization to change it. If any job required changing this, then I would have canceled Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing from doing any jobs and consulted with other plumbing companies for additional opinions and options.

I contacted the Plumbing Manager, Will, to report the unauthorized reduced water pressure and poorly installed shower handle. After leaving him two messages, he finally called me back. He was very agitated because I wouldn't let him talk over me. He didn't care about my concerns. All he wanted to do was convince me that the unauthorized job to reduce the water pressure would be great for my house, even though I have never had any problems in 13 1/2 years. He was rude, unprofessional and volunteered to send my $570 check back to me.

Before writing this review and reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau, I took another step to try giving this small business another opportunity to fix the problems. I contacted the owner, Jerry. In our discussion, it sounded like he wanted to make things right. He informed me that the part installed on the water valve reduces the water pressure. The plumber did not advise me of this before replacing the part. Jerry said they would get a part that would help increase the water pressure and requested me to give him a couple days to call me back.

After a week passed, I called twice. I spoke with Daisha who was passing my message to Jerry's assistant since he doesn't have a voicemail box. There was no response, so I called again and spoke with another lady who was passing my message to Jerry's assistant for the second time. Days have passed. There hasn't been a response from Jerry or anyone from Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing. I didn't receive the $570 check back. My belief was they kept the check because they were planning to resolve the issues 1) Replace the part on the water valve and increase the water pressure 2) Reinstall the shower handle properly, so it's turning in the correct direction. Nothing has been done.

In my humble opinion, after speaking with others about my experience, I believe the plumber and leaders would have handled this differently if I wasn't a female owning the home. Of course, this statement is an opinion, but worth considering for any females seriously looking to hire this company for services. I highly discourage any homeowner seeking for a company with integrity and qualified technicians to consider or hire Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing for professional services.

Service was great and timely. However, the cost of repair was very costly. The system was dug out and taken apart prior to a quote for repair was given.
