Gil and Fernando are amazing and I would highly recommend them! Very professional and delivered great work. Even though they're based in Santa Monica, they made time to make it over to Westwood to perform a much needed electrical repair to one of my outlets. Gil even took time to help me remotely troubleshoot the issue initially. Fernando arrived and was fast in determining and fixing the issue. I have a more electrical work that I would like them to work on and they're definitely my go to for electrical services moving forward. Highly recommend.

We needed some work done, and it wasn't the easiest. Chandelier needed to be installed, and needed its own switch. We wanted to add a pendant light above our kitchen counter, and it needed to get on the same switch as the other 2. We also had a ceiling fan that had been installed wrong (by us, because another electrician hadn't been able to figure out how to install it, so we did it ourselves), and was connected to the wrong switch.

Fernando came right on time, was super clean, did everything perfectly, and really exceeded my expectations. First, because we've had bad experiences with people leaving behind a lot of dust and dirt. Second, because he brought a laser that allowed him to make sure the chandelier was being hung exactly in line with the center of the window. Third, because he took the time to talk to me about all of the switches in our bedroom and ask exactly what we wanted each to do (there are a lot, it's a confusing switch situation.)

I was kind of jaded by previous electrician work, but Gil was great to work with over the phone (pointed out a lot of things I hadn't thought of), and Fernando was really awesome at doing the work. Thank!!

My husband contacted Gil to help install a few outlets as well as to install a light fixture on our patio. He ended up sending out one of his employees, Fernando, who was very flexible with working with our schedule. Fernando was on time and did a fantastic job with everything. He was friendly and answered all of our questions, including the ones we had regarding our future plans. We will definitely work with his company again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a solid electrician with reasonable prices.

Called Gil late on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 8:30 am he was at our house. Courteous, competent, professional - he fixed our problem quickly. Would absolutely recommend him, he's great.

Awesome, professional work. I hired another electrician for $200 to fix a broken outlet. He said i needed to replace a breaker. Paid $65 at a store for a circuit breaker and it didnt fix the problem. Then he said it was a short in the wall and he'd have to come back and charge more to do it.

I called Amor. Cost $125 and the problem was fixed in 20 minutes (short in the light switch) On top of that I could use the old breaker and take the new one back so he saved me $65 on top of that.

These are my go to electricians from now on. I wish everyone was this good.

maybe it's because i'm an older skeptic and have been misled by too many online reviews, but i was wary about all the praise for amor electric. but i shouldn't have been. first of all the communication from gil the owner was immediate and helpful. i sent him photos of the machinery i would be connecting and my electric panel that needed upgrading, he came right back with what i would need and how much it would probably cost. he actually contacted me on a sunday (as a small business owner myself, i appreciate that he knows how to keep his customers happy obviously) ,to let me know when they'd be available on monday. his assistant fernando just left. he was fast, professional and on time. what's even better...the job came in at an even LOWER PRICE then the totally reasonable amount i was quoted to begin with. this is the way all companies should do business!

My electrician being out of town, I called Amor Electric based on his 5 star track record. I explained I had 4 new lights to install, 2 inside to replace 2 existing old light fixtures, and 2 dual light security lanterns outside the house. I was wondering if the lanterns would be problematic to install with new light switches since I did not have existing light fixtures Gil gave me his rates upfront, and explained it depended on how and where the switches needed to be installed. Since he was located close to my area, he came by to pre-check the project and the lanterns in particular. I am grateful that Gil explained that I did not need switches for the lanterns because they turn on and off with the sun light, and brighten up when they detect motion. But, being old school, I thought it was weird to have lights without switches to control them. Later, I noticed my neighbors' similar lanterns, and confirmed that they did not have switches. So thank you, Gil for saving me installation money, and also for coming to check the day of installation and advise Fernando it was easier to hang one lantern using the power from inside the furnace room, which I had forgotten to show Fernando.
Fernando did a beautiful job installing the two small chandeliers and the outside lanterns, removing his shoes inside when he noticed I did, even though I had placed old mats for him to walk on with his shoes!
He was so kind and patient when we needed to straighten the study chandelier, and when I was trying to decide where exactly to hang the lanterns, as the patio door was not in the middle of the wall, and we also had to work with the wood beams inside the walls.
I am glad I have found a nice new electrical company.
