David Alvarado and Peter did a great job solving a major problem caused by poorly done construction of bay windows in my house. While here they changed out a number of decorative outdoor lights. On time, pleasant and very instructive on what they were doing, why and cost. Anyone would be well served by hiring them for an electrical job.

We decide to upgrade our electrical service for safety reasons as well as a solar installation. Several very well informed contractors came out to give a bid, David being one of them.

David is a great communicator and was extremely helpful during the permitting phase which I had decided to take on myself. He didn't have to help out with that. His bid was professional and prompt, he followed up with phone calls to ensure all questions were answered, and was extremely responsive over email and text. There was never a feeling of pushy sales. I really value that. I'm kind of a worrier and David covered everything which made me feel 100% comfortable and confident in the decision to move forward.

When SDGE came out to do the pre-installation site survey they required the new meter housing be onsite for inspection. I hadn't paid David a dime and asked if could, but he gladly ran the meter housing over for SDGE to evaluate. This was during a period of time of equipment shortages as well so other contractors told me upfront it could be months before they received the required meter. David was able to source the part immediately. This was extremely valuable because of the sequence of events required for the existing Solar install schedule.

The installation was flawless. On time, very very clean, great coordination with the utility company and City inspections went without a hitch. It's everything you want when undergoing a major residential utility upgrade. David's crew is very professional, skilled, respectful and personable.

David is an extremely intelligent guy. He's very kind and interesting. I enjoyed watching him work, getting to know him a bit, and learning about some things. I respect him a lot. I can't recommend Alvarado Electric enough.

If you have an electrical project coming up, just use David. Honestly, you'll be in good professional hands and won't regret the choice.

Top notch praise for David's team on the work they did to upgrade our old electrical panel ahead of solar installation-- a more complex upgrade given the need for trenching. David's team was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, always kept their appointments, communicated extremely well, and served as an effective liaison with SDG&E. Even with a trench being dug and re-concreted, our driveway was always clean and work was always completed when it was projected to be. David kept us in the loop with every step and communicated expectations. Work was completed on a quick schedule without any hiccups.

We have already asked David to return for several other electrical projects needed in our home. His prices are competitive, he is reliable, and I recommend his team without reservation.
