I am a volunteer for my HOA of a 58 unit condo complex . Mr. Alvarado is very knowledgeable and has performed many various tasks for our community. The first time we used him to removed and replaced twenty of our outdated flood lighting which lights the perimeter of our communities parking areas with new more energy efficient florescent fixtures. He performed this in a very efficient manner, quickly, surpassing our expectations on time. The time it took him to replace all twenty fixtures, the previous electrician would have taken the same time to replace only five or six fixtures. Not to mentioned he cleaned up after his work. I figured that it would have taken our previous electrician a good four or five day to complete this work. Mr. Alvarado completed this task in a day.

Then there was an issue with one of the building's photo cell we constantly were having the old service electrician replace, one after another. Well, enough was enough we let Mr. Alvarado replace it once and it is still operating to this day. So as the photo cells on the other buildings fail, we give Mr. Alvarado a call.
We were having a chaos of residents leaving furniture, tables, and beds by our dumpsters. Causing our HOA to be billed for extra trash collections fees, week after week. Well, we had Mr. Alvarado install one of those Watch Dog Security LED Motion Tracking Cameras above the problem and since being installed it has been a miracle how ""Big Brother"" has solved 99.9% of the Chaos. It was installed and has performed flawlessly since day it has been installed. This was the best thing we have had installed by Mr. Alvarado. He performed this job to our satisfaction.

Our complex has twelve garages, which are controlled by the Communities power service. They are hooked up to a 15 AMP Circuit Breaker. Well all is good to power the garage door openers and lights, but our residents took it to the limit by installing freezers, old side by side refrigerators, power tools, etc. All which is not allowed by the HOA rules and regulations. This was a nightmare. The HOA hired Mr. Alvarado to remove the outlets located above the garage door openers where previously our residents took it upon themselves as a free for all. He removed all the outlets and hard wired each garage door opener to be direct wired. This took Mr. Alvarado just a few hours. Once again I was impressed with the speed this project took. Thanks to Mr. Alvarado no more blown circuit breakers, and not to mention the savings to the HOA. One buildings House meter electricity usage went down sixty plus dollars the following month.

Saving all this money is worth hiring a good electrician like Mr. Alvarado.

We had Mr. Alvarado install Occupancy Sensor in our laundry rooms. He performed this without any issues. So now if a resident forgets to turn off the light it will shut off a minute after it stops sensing any motion.

Last month we had some foul weather, and one of our electric operated security gates to one of the entrances just stopped working. We called the company that services our gate, but the problem was an electrical issue. Well to our surprise the main power source for the security gate is located on top of the roof of the second level condos. Apparently when we had roofers perform maintenance repairs to our roof, they took it upon themselves to prop the conduit that runs from the main point of entry 250 feet over the building on top of the plumbing vents. Over time this destroyed the fittings and allowed the sealed conduit to ingress water, therefore the elements destroyed the power line to our security gate. Mr. Alvarado had made some plans coming up the following week, so he took it upon himself to perform the work on the weekend. He was able to get the job done, and done right. After looking at the old conduit he replaced, it was apparent they didn't use the proper water tight fittings. Mr. Alvarado took the extra step of not cheating the consumer and going the extra mile slightly elevating the new conduit from the elements, but also using the appropriate materials. I feel confident that the work on this job will outlast the substandard ""original"" work performed.

Well, I could go on and on about the work Mr. Alvarado has performed for our community.

Mr. Alvarado is definitely the person I recommend each time something goes pop, snap, crackle, boom, arc, buzz, etc..that uses electricity and needs some attention.

I would highly recommend Mr. Alvarado to anyone looking for a electrician.

I needed an electrician to re-attach and reconnect a ceiling light in my mom's kitchen. I contacted Alvarado and left a message. Dave returned my call, and made an appointment to go to my mom's condo. I told him that my mom is hearing impaired but she can text. I texted him the light fixture and the location on the ceiling where it was removed from. The communication between Dave and me, and Dave and my mom went very smoothly. He finished the job. It cost a little more than the estimate that he had provided over the phone, but at the end of the day, my mom said that she is extremely happy with the job that he did. I just today had a chance to stop by, and sure enough, they have done a very nice job. It looks better than the original.

I have used Alvarado Electric at least a couple of times. He has upgraded my circuit box and completed the wiring when I had my bathroom remodelled. Both times his company was great. He said that the circuit box would require one day and it was completed ontime. The person that my general contractor used could not wire my bathroom properly and he was taking time away from the ability of the general contractor finishing my bathroom. I told my general contractor that I wanted Alvarado Electric to wire my bathroom. David was at my place rapidly and the bathroom wiring was completed in short order properly so that the general contractor could complete construction. I would recommend Alvarado Electric without hesitance.

I had a horrible experience with this company, He came out to do an estimate for me.
Dave the owner gave me a decent estimate and we scheduled the work for the following week. He came recommended so I gave him a try. I was in need of ceiling fan installation and outside wall lighting. I also needed him to install J-boxes in two rooms. I changed my mind and wanted to save a little money and put the fans in myself. But still needed him to do everything else. He texted me that I just needed a handyman to do the wall cuts and wiring. Then I called him and said I didn't understand why he didn't want to do the rest of the job and he said, it wasn't worth it, because it was to far. He's in North Park, I'm in Poway. That's 30 minutes max. And continued to say he doesn't drive a beater car, his truck costs to much gas. Very unprofessional! His logo is No Job Is To Small! Hilarious. He has no people skills.
