Had Altap (Bahram and his team) work on installing kitchen recess lighting and also had my old subpanel replaced. He mentioned that my old panel might be prone to fire and best to get that replaced. The cost was very competitive and you can tell they know what they are doing when doing the electrical work. 8 cans of recess lighting done in about 1.5 hours. Much faster than i thought, but then, as i said, they know what they are doing. Also patched up the ceiling. Sub panel took about 4 hours with 2 person working on it.
Bahram is very pleasant to work with and they are on time and left the place clean. I would definitely recommend him for your electrical work.

11/12/18: Called Braham again for another issue (I live in an old house!), and he stopped by same day and fixed the issue really fast! Braham is such an honest guy and very helpful. Not just some guy fixing stuff and taking your money, charging ridiculous price. Altap Electrical is your go to Electrician! Best in South Bay!!!

I recently had some recessed lights installed by the Altap team and the overall experience was great. I submitted a quote request on Saturday and heard back in a few hours. Bahram answered some of my questions on Sunday and was able to squeeze me in for a Monday install. His team came in and did a great job keeping things clean. They even found time to take care of a few lingering items I had been planning to do myself but kept putting them off. After a few hours they were done and everything works and looks great. Definitely won't hesitate to call them again.

Responsiveness: Immediately responded after I requested a quote. I let it sit for about a week, got back to him, and then he immediately got back to me again.

Scheduling: So we've been in our house for over three years and needed to upgrade our outlets to GFCI. I figured he'd give me some time a week or two out. Instead, I spoke with Bahram today and he was out here this evening. He asked about a 5-7 p.m. time slot but I didn't get home until around 6 p.m. so he gladly gave me a 6-8 p.m. time slot. A couple other five star Yelp electricians told me it'd be 2-4 weeks (or more).

Pricing: Literally half the price of the quote I received from another five star Yelp electrician.

Courtesy: Shoes off in the house. Friendly conversation.

Knowledge: He changed out the outlet without shutting off the power. I assume I'd be lying dead on the ground if I tried to do that myself with the power on. Also gave me some feedback on the wiring of one of the outlets.

It's very clear why he's so highly rated on Yelp.

I solicited 3 quotes to install a ChargePoint level 2 Ev charger in my detached garage. Bahram's quote was the least expensive. He has excellent Yelp ratings, which I relied on to assure myself that he would do an excellent cost effective job.

Bahram put my job on his schedule, and came promptly with an assistant. He put down protective plastic and paper in my house to a avoid making a mess. The job entailed working in the crawl space, adding a cable to my interior electrical panel, rearranging the circuit breakers, routing the new cable to my garage in a way that would not be visibly obvious, installing a new panel and outlets in my garage, and installing the charger.

Bahram did this work quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. He caulked the holes he had to make in the exterior wall, and patched the plaster he disturbed near my electrical panel. I touch-up painted the affected wall and the new conduit using left-over exterior paint.

The installation works and looks great. I recommend Altap without reservation.

Bahram and his crew really came through for us. We needed a panel upgrade and 240 volt line ran to the house. Behram is a great electrician! I wanted to install 40 amp circuit for car charger. He came the same day at 5 PM. Started the work with prep work to collect dust and dry wall hole material. I was super impressed with his knowledge and workmanship. Finished the work in less than 2 hours including helping me install the ChargePoint plug-in charger. I'd highly recommend him.
