A few weeks late with this review which is inexcusable since Bahram may have saved my life when he identified faulty wiring in the panel box. My washer stopped working mid-cycle, just died. The dryer died 5 minutes later. I called an appliance repair guy who told me that it wasn't the appliances, it was the electrical.
After reading the positive reviews, I called Altap. Bahram answered immediately (what? wow!) and was able to come out late that same day which was fantastic. Bahram showed me how the last electrician hadn't finished the wiring correctly and where the wires were burnt. He said eventually I would have had a fire!
He fixed the wiring fairly quickly--yay, a nice bonus that I didn't have to deal with a washer full of sudsy wet clothes turning to mold.
The last electrician did most of the wiring for my condominium complex, so Bahram's discovery was alarming. I obviously shared with the HOA and my neighbors that they better get their electrical panel checked out, and if they are smart, they'll call Bahram at Altap! I recommend Bahram for his experience, knowledge, fair market price, professionalism, efficiency and kind disposition.

Just echoing back whatever has been already said by everyone. We got couple of exterior outlets and security cameras installed. Excellent service all around.
- Right on time and finished everything as soon as possible.
- Spread blankets wherever they are walking/working, so that they don't muddy the floors. Cleaned up everything afterwards.
- Kept the drywall cuts to as minimum as possible and patched up everything afterwards.

I had to upgrade my electricity panel for additional capacity to support air conditioning install. I reached out to Altap electrical based on Yelp review and I was not disappointed. He was quick to pick up the call and suggested keeping the price low and not ripping out the old panel housing from the wall.

Got my electricity panel upgraded by Bahram (owner). He also installed couple of power outlets in the house. He did a solid job with good results. I had some issues with power not returning to the section of the house connected to one particular fuse, and Bahram was quick to come over multiple times to resolve the issue.

One minor quirk with him:
He always picks up the phone within couple of rings, which has a side effect of being frequently interrupted by others customers while he is explaining you something.

I am very happy with the work that was done with Altap. I needed to put recessed lighting in one bedroom, and troubleshoot a problem with our bathroom fan tripping the GFCI outlets.
I contacted them through Yelp, and received a reply the same day. Once I chatted with Bahram about what we needed, he sent an estimate the next day. We set up a time within the week.
I was most impressed with how quickly the work was done. They arrived within the window I was given, and were done in under 2 hours.
I would absolutely recommend them based on the work they did, how quickly they responded, and how efficient they were when they completed the work. Bahram was also friendly and a pleasure to work with.

I highly recommend Altap Electrical. I used the ThumbTack app to find an electrician to diagnose an electrical problem with my house. Everytime an appliance was turned on, the lights in my house dimmed significantly. I engaged another electrical contractor and they came out to my house and spent over an hour informing me that my 17 year old 200 amp electrical panel needed to be replaced as well as all of the electrical wiring in my 60 year old house to the tune of $66K. After receiving this distressing news, I decided to ditch the ThumbTack app and went onto Yelp and found Altap Electrical. I sent an email to the company and the owner immediately responded and asked me to send some photos of my electrical panel. He then said that there is no way that the other contractor could be correct. He asked if he could see the panel in person and I agreed.

When Bahram arrived, he immediately said the issue I was experiencing was not due to the panel, nor the wiring in the house. He advised to call PG&E immediately and inform them that I had an emergency. I followed Bahram's advice and PG&E immediately came out and diagnosed the issue as an ""open neutral"" on their side of the meter. Apparently, squirrels chewed through the wire on the power pole causing the situation. After PG&E replaced the wire at no charge to me, my power was restored to its normal condition. No dimming of lights whatsoever.

Bahram's time and expertise was definitely worth his service charge. I have already referred Altap Electrical to a friend at work and I heartily recommend them for any Yelper's electrical needs.
