I had an unusual situation occur that baffled my limited electrical repair knowledge. My plugs in my two bathrooms are controlled by a GFCI plug located in the garage. My home is 38 years old and that GFCI outlet has been there from the beginning.

I tried resetting the GFCI, but it would not reset as it normally does so I assumed the GFCI outlet had finally pooped out. I replaced the GFCI and then discovered I was not receiving any power to the outlet so I next assumed the circuit breaker might have failed (I had a new electrical panel installed 6 years earlier).

I called Allen's and Cynthia answered, asked me a few questions, and then told me she would be at my home within a couple of hours. When she arrived she began trouble-shooting the situation. I told her my garage door opener had also stopped working so she checked the connections within that plug box. She determined one of the wires within that box had backed off slightly (after several years) from the other wires connected to the wire-nut.

As soon as she reconnected the wires, the power flowed through the plug box. She then re-wired the new GFCI plug I had bought and that plug also worked again.

Cynthia's expertise and experience shined through and she did a great job resolving my issue within a very reasonable amount of time. Her charge for her service was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend you call her for any electrical issues you may have.

Cynthia came out to my home last Thursday and was pleased with quality of work and how efficient she used her time. She installed electrical outlets in the interior and exterior. Cynthia does not compromise on safety and quality and had no reservations she installed the best outlets for my home and in the right location. If you hire her, rest assure you are in good hands . She charged me a very reasonable price as well.

I called for an estimate & scheduled with Cynthia. She arrived promptly & was very courteous. She explained in detail my problem & provided her recommendations. I chose to stay with a simple light fixture which she was able to retrieve & complete the next day in 10min. She seemed very knowledgeable & skilled. My only issue was the cost. I did NOT shop around. I usually like to take the best of 3 estimates, but if you have time...shop around. However, they do provide good service. (3.5 star)

Called Allen's Electric and Cynthia worked around my work schedule and came out with Steve in the evening and fixed my light switch after others had worked on it and couldn't fiind the problem. She went up in my hot attic and found the problem. She was very professional, affordable and pointed out my problem and before she left gave me other money saving tips about my lighting.
