I have communicated with John through Yelp messaging to come for an estimate. We have agreed upon the time and I have sent him the address in a text message. He confirmed receiving it. And then he disappeared. He did not return my text message or phone call, and he did not show up at the appointed time. My time was wasted. It was very important that I get an electrician for that particular time. If John would cancel in advance, I could have secured someone else. However, he does not mind wasting people's time.

Couldn't have been happier with my experience with Jamie at AJ Electric. She saved me so much on my job! So happy to now have an experienced electrician I can trust.

I needed 3 electric wall heaters and 2 thermostats installed, with me supplying the replacements. I got quotes from ~10 electricians in San Francisco and AJ was by far the most competitive. When Jamie was here she figured out that the only one of the heaters and both thermostats needed replacing. So I was able to return the two heaters I didn't use. I also asked her about a lighting fixture that was giving me issues. This wasn't part of my original ask, but she had the parts needed in her tool belt and fixed it on the spot! She could have easily charged me for my initial quote and more for the lighting fixture replacement, but since the job took less time, she charged me less! She also explained everything to me :) Thank you Jamie!

Great experience... Jamie showed up on time....fixed all the electrical issues (previous wiring was incorrect) and also recommended the appropriate switches to ensure I could control my lights through a wireless app.....highly recommended!!

This is a review on a job completed by AJ Electric this past year for an eight unit building. AJ Electric replaced the PGE closet for the electrical service for the building.

Out of all of the estimates I received for this job, the solution from AJ Electric was the best for the building. All the other electrical contractors suggested the easiest redesign. The job was completed on time and at an honest bid. This is a company that knows how to do business and does the job right.

Worst customer service ever waited 5 minutes till I met him and he left. He said I did you a favor and you weren't at the job site.No I hired you and then you show up do the job then I pay for your service.Thats the way it works.Your not doing me a favor if I've never used your company.Which will never happen.Use that phone in your pocket it's a communication device for business.

John from AJ Electric was great! With all of this rain, water seeped into an electrical connection outside. This caused sparking noises and triggered my breaker to switch off. John came out to turn off the electrical currents to the damaged areas by the next morning. (We turned off the breaker until he arrived.) Although he was unable to make the repairs immediately due to his schedule, he provided a quote and a date to get it fixed. This was two weeks out, but he made it possible to keep everything safe until that time. John arrived on time with his partner, worked quickly, kept me informed of the progress, and finished in just a little less than the time quoted. I found John and his partner extremely professional and reasonably priced. I will definitely keep AJ Electric as my go-to for electrical needs.

I had a minor issue at the house, which was to figure out why the doorbell from the outside wasn't working in one flat, but it worked for the other. John came by on relatively short notice (which I greatly appreciated) and figured out the problem that another electrician couldn't (over the course of three hours!). He not only identified the issue, he finished inside an hour and a half, and that included a quick run to get a part he didn't have. Nice guy. He's actually from San Francisco (rare), comes from a family of electricians, and definitely knows his stuff. Would absolutely use him in the future and his rates are very reasonable.

I saw a one star review and couldn't imagine John and his team leaving a mess or being unprofessional. He absolutely knew what he was doing and explained what was going on well.

As of this review, he only had ten reviews, but don't let the lack of review volume deter you from at least reaching out and getting an estimate from him!
