It's 7pm; 88 degrees outside and A/C will not turn on. Called and a very nice man named George confirmed I had checked the basics first...yep, I needed a pro. No problem, we'll get Alek out there tonight. Phew.

Alek arrived within the hour and had a great attitude. He went immediately to solving the problem while we ate dinner and asked if he could go ahead and complete our Spring routine service call so we'd be set for summer. Absolutely! He gave us tips on how we can manage our Carrier system for best performance. Alek is very thorough, professional and efficient. If you have an issue with your system, Alek is your man.

We were on vaction out of the country when our central A/C failed. Airco responded that same day and diagnosed the problem. Again that same day we received a formal quote to replace the air handler and a scheduled appointment to complete the work the next day. As promised, the repair was completed on time and to quote. When we returned home we found a minor problem with the installation and a small stain on the carpet. I called Airco and they came to our home the next morning. They removed the stain from the carpet and fixed the installation issue.

It is clear these folks care about their customers and the quality of their work. I highly recommend them for any of your related needs.

At first I was very unhappy with Airco, as I paid $89 for an estimate and then their quote was very high. I called other places to find out I could have had someone look at the AC for free. Then, their quotes were much lower. Airco had put in my unit originally and I preferred they do the repair, but I did not want o pay $200 more than everyone else. so I called back to see if they would price match. Management gave the approval and now my AC is fixed for much cheaper than I was originally quoted. Armando did the work, he was timely, efficient, nice, and informative.

These folks have always been awesome. I purchased my air conditioning and heating units from them. They do not pressure me into a particular product, offered my a 5% discount to pay by check or cash, great financing when I can't pay by check or cash, offer service plans. They are always able to come out asap to fix a problem. I have referred friends to them, who have also been very happy.

Called this AM and scheduled an appointment for the afternoon. The office called about 1:30 stating they're on the way. Joel showed up shortly thereafter, did a checkup andcleaned the drain on the AC. Though there is wear on a contact, we were given the option to fix now or later- no pressure.
He offered an annual contract but did not pressure us to buy.
I would strongly recommend this business.
Airco is locally owned and the employees are very respectful.

These guys replaced my air conditioning unit last summer with a new 'high efficiency unit' that was supposed to be less expensive to operate. $5000 later and 2 summers of not being able to keep my house cool with $400+ electric bills and now during the coldest week of the year so far--I learn the a/c unit has bee kicking on with the heating element--effectively having my gas furnace work against it's own cooling coils 24x7. Wonder what my electrical bill will be this month?

These guys have tried really hard to do the right thing but they just come across as completely incompetent. There's not enough space here to lay out all the mistakes that were made in installing and configuring my a/c. Ugh.

Don't know about residential but commercially they kinda fail. We had a chilled water system installed in 2008. For the first 6 months they couldn't figure out why our server room never got cold. The building maintenance folks realized the pump was installed backwards. They fixed it but the pump failed 18 months later. Airco's response? It isn't under warranty. Due to the cost of the rebuild ($2700) we put off the repair until warmer weather. Called back today and they seem to have completely forgotten who we are.

I am typically skeptical especially with trades companies. From the initial to phone call to Wes Stearns with Airco to the final installation with Robert and his partner I got a A + job. I found that Wes was great and took time to not only quote and explain his quote on a new AC system for my house, he also figured out a design problem with the Air ducts that came with the house. He designed a fix to that problem as well. Robert and his partner were great in the install and my wife (she doesn't usually like trades people in the house) thought they were great, polite and professional. Overall It was a great and unexpected pleasure to do business with the Airco team. They get my highest recommendation!!

I was over charged today! I asked the repairman to sign up for the ""Get your A/C Fixed for $159"" and the repairman said he couldn't do that. What's the deal? I was supposed to get my A/C fixed for $159 and then be enrolled in their adverstised plan. Their website states the following:

Get your A/C fixed and be protected from the unexpected!
Have your A/C fixed for only $159.00!*
No one wants to be caught in the heat with no A/C. We understand and can help. When you have a breakdown, call us - we'll fix your A/C for a one-time flat rate then enroll you in our exclusive Essential HomeCare Plan so you'll be protected against costly breakdowns in the future.

Notice how it says they'll fix your A/C for a one-time flate (The $159) and then be enrolled in the plan.

The repairman told me the plan doesn't cover pre-existing conditions. Why would someone ask to have their A/C repaired if there isn't a pre-existing condition occurring??? He further said you have to had already been enrolled and paid for the plan before getting your A/C fixed. Which contradicts their ad.

It turns out the plan only gives you a %15 discount on services and gives you the 1st lb. of freon free.

My $159 advertised quote online turned out to really be $1622.

Here is how they charged me:
$179 for the ""Essential Service Plan""
$195 for an Electronic Leak Check
$106 1st Lb R410A (Freon)
$110 for 2nd & 3rd Lb of R410A (Freon)
$1032 for a Coil Replacement (Which is still under warranty. This is only for Labor costs)

Wes Stearns from Airco is the best vendor I've ever worked with at my home...period. He sold us the right products, got us the best prices, and followed through on the delivery. There was potential for the project to blow up, completely not related to Airco's workmanship. Wes stepped up, took control and turned something that could've been bad into a very successful project.

Airco replaced our upper and lower heating and air systems, plus our 2nd floor water heater. There is no reason to not do business with Airco!
