I got a new HVAC system installed by Airco last year. Their price was competitive and the installation was completed on the date promised. The installers were very efficient and neat - I liked that I didn't have to clean up a mess after they left. This summer, my A/C started acting up. Airco promptly came out (twice) and fixed the problem at no charge since the unit was still under warranty.

My new unit has worked fine both summer and winter (with the exception of the problem that was promptly fixed this past summer). My electric bills are down due to the efficiency of the new unit yet my house is more comfortable.

Recently, I had an issue concerning the financing of my unit. It was a misunderstanding and although I was angry about this issue, I must now acknowledge that it was partially my fault as I misunderstood the terms. But no matter, because Wes, who manages the consumer end of Airco, responded promptly and we were able to reach a fair compromise - actually it was more than fair and Wes went out of his way to make sure I remained a happy customer. Wes is awesome!

I highly recommend Airco. They are reputable and stand by their products. Purchasing an HVAC system can be stressful - you just don't know if you are getting a fair deal from a trustworthy company. With Airco, that stress is removed - they are competitively priced, honest and responsive. Very happy that after getting four estimates, I chose Airco.

We've had our heating/cooling systems inspected and serviced by Airco for many years now. We continue to be satisfied with them after our most recent inspection of our units in our new (used) home. The technician, Todd Layton, was thorough, made slight adjustments to our system and pointed out some concerns where he anticipated needing service in the near future. We are happy we called Airco again. Our upstairs home heating unit went out recently. We had used Airco for our business last summer so decided to use their services again.

Chris from Airco was very professional and did an amazing job considering they had to take out our old unit that had lots of terrible mildew on it. These guys are hard workers and honest.

We would use Airco again without hesitation!

I had a new unit installed by Airco 3 years ago. Today my unit quit cooling. I called Airco 9am and they said they would have someone out after 1. By 3 no one was there and house was boiling. I called and they said I was next in que. Should b there by 5. At 6 still no one. Stuck in the hot house since 1. I called again. I was told they would be out by 7. At 7:45 I got a call from the technician saying they were on their way and be there in 15 mins.
An hour later at 8:45 they arrived.
Very nice men who had had a very long day I am sure.
They found that I had a capacitor out which was under warranty. However, instead of charging the full $275 for the part they were going to give me a great discount of only charging me $167 for the part and $89 labor.
I asked why I was being charged since it was under warranty and I was told that they have to send the part back to the mfg. and wait for reimbursement and their time was worth $89??!!
THEY installed my unit at almost $6000 only 3 years ago! It is under warranty!!! Do you see a problem with this?
Needless to say I paid as I needed it repaired as it is August and I has sat here for 8 hours waiting for them.
However, I am not done. I will be checking in to my options for reimbursement.
The technicians were very nice and obviously overworked. I don't blame them.
I think the company has sketchy business practices charging for warranties part.
The next day the mgr. Wes called me and worked with me on the charges. I will be reimbursed $89 for the service charge. I appreciate that. They did show up the same day as called which is also a plus. I appreciate that they are responsive to problems.

I got my air conditioning fixed earlier today by Aleks Rankovich, and it could not have gone any better. Right off the bat, Aleks was courteous and friendly to my roommate and I. He fixed the problem quickly and was incredibly knowledgeable about the problems we were having with our air conditioning. He then took the time to carefully explain what the problem was, how he fixed it, and how to prevent it in the future. Aleks was also just lovely to talk with in general!

I will go back to Airco and ask for Aleks every time. I can't thank him enough for fixing our air conditioning so smoothly and effectively!

The inside fan on my A/C stopped working last weekend. Since the unit is still under warranty (parts) I called Airco to come out and diagnose the problem (they installed the unit originally). I called on Saturday at 10 PM and they had a repair expert out by 10 AM the next morning. It turned out that the fan motor had broken.

Alan Highley, the service technician, said that they don't carry these motors on the truck and that it had to be ordered. Since I was busy on Monday morning Alan agreed to come out on Monday afternoon to install the new motor. He was waiting for me when I returned to the house.

I was very pleased with the fast service from Alan and Airco. The system is now running perfectly just in time for the increasing temperatures. I would highly recommend Airco and Alan Highley. Alan was professional, took care of the issue in the fastest time possible and the labor cost was quite reasonable.

I've used Airco for the last 8 years since I bought a warranty through them. Almost every time they did a PM, something had to be ""fixed"", but I was ok with it since thw warranty covered it. 4 years ago my coil was replaced and this year it has to be replaced again but the warranty only covers one repair of any kind. If you are pricing out places, refridgerant refill will cost you at least $320. A coil replacement will run you around $1100. Don't ask for an itemized statement because it's a ""flat"" charge.

Had Airco come out as part of the Austin Energy AC check-up program. Up to that point, our AC unit had been running perfectly fine. Within 48-hours our AC unit stopped working. Airco came out, charged a service fee and replaced the capacitor. Within 30 days, our AC unit stopped working again. Airco came out to inspect, came up with an expensive service suggestion which we turned down. After posting a negative review, a very nice service manager, Wes, contacted me, we discussed the situation. Bottom-line, the service fee and difficulties were an unusual set of circumstances for how Airco normally operates. He offered to refund the fee. Process snags do happen, and we greatly appreciate Wes reaching out to us and making good on the situation rather than ignoring it. Our experience with Wes was 5-star, our experience as a whole was 3-star. They do have good BBB ratings, and might be worth considering for future service.
