Recommended Customer Reviews

First, they put an air conditioner in that was too small. Then it quickly became apparent that the unit was of poor quality. We asked that they install a more appropriate sized and better quality unit but they would not do it. Now it is a two year old system and the compressor has failed. There has been no A/C for 3 weeks and now the part is back-ordered and it could be multiple additional weeks until it can be acquired and the issue addressed. In this heat, it is not only uncomfortable, but also dangerous. Horrible customer service. Stay away from this place if you have any choice at all!

Price gauging customers and no explanation of what the the high charge was for. Zero transparency. Took it all the way to the owner and still nothing. They charge what they charge and you either like it or not. Get other prices and shop around. The tech who did the work was very nice and professional.

Great technicians, horrible customer service. I had a membership that included routine AC maintenance. THEY called me to schedule a few weeks ago, so we lined up a date. I moved some appointments around at work to make it work. The day of the appointment, they texted to let me know they had to reschedule. I agreed. No problem. Things happen. All good. We rescheduled for the following week and I added a plumbing issue to the visit. Had to move work around again, but okay no problem. Everything looking good. The day of, they again texted to let me know they needed to reschedule. This time I'm frustrated. I get their customer service person on the phone...nothing they can do. I talk to the next person...nothing they can do UNTIL I reminded them about the plumbing issue. ""Oh yeah, we can come out for that...it'll be $69!"" I've never cancelled a membership faster. NEVER AGAIN. There are 150 other companies right down the street that cover all the same stuff. Call ANY one of them. I promise you it'll be better.

We had an issue with our A/C, and ACS was able to send someone within the hour, which was truly great since the company who usually services my A/C wanted me to wait 4 days. They found the issue and were able to fix it for a reasonable price. The one thing I found confusing is that the woman I spoke to on the phone said the $99 fee for them coming out would be applied to my service if they fixed it, but then the technician said they'd only apply the fee if I signed up for their yearly service package which was the same price as the fee, so ended up doing it just to bring the price down. Otherwise, I appreciated the prompt service. Would recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Charged me a 200 dollar service fee to do literally nothing. Looked at my unit and said ""it's not worth fixing"" and then tried to sell me a whole new system with new ducts Had someone else come out, they fixed two things and it's working. Stay away from this company.

I received a brand new air conditioner and in two eels the technician had to come out and replace the Freon because the technician didn't tighten the valve and I had to pay for there error. Now it's 2 1/2 years later and I have to replace the heating coils that supposedly is under warranty and the labor is 1100. I asked for a copy of the warranty and keep getting the run around. Please be carefull and take your own pictures and seek a second opinion!!!

About three years ago I needed our A/C compressor moved. ACS came out, provided a fair estimate, and did great work. Since then, I've been signed up for their maintenance plan. I pay a small monthly fee, and they come out twice a year to clean/inspect my system.
The company is amazing all-around. They have friendly, knowledgeable team members -- both their office/sales team and technicians -- and their communication before, during, and after visits is wonderful.
My most recent technician was Brian. As always with ACS technicians, he let me know he was on his way, showed up on time, and got the job done efficiently without making me feel pressed to buy a bunch of add-ons or rushed. He answered all of my questions and gave me a full run-down on the state of my system before leaving.
I am very happy with having ACS taking care of my HVAC needs, and I intend to be a long term customer.

After looking over the reviews, I filled it important to review this business. In my experience, ACS is one of the most dependable, reliable overall companies in Tampa. Nobody thinks about the AC until there is an issue, and when there is an issue, ACS is always there for their members. I find it unusual how they have so many outstanding reviews, and then equally so many not so good
It is nice to see the business reaching out to unhappy people and helping to resolve the issue. What I can say is they do their best to make things, right and the good reviews speak for themselves

Very expensive Request for my invoices went unresloved after many attempts. The emplotees were curtious and reponse time was good.

Over two months ago we contracted to replace our air conditioning throughout the whole house. It was a $30k expense.
The work was supposed to take a week to ten days for full completion.
While 90% of the work was done - it's not complete and while we have continuing positive dialogue with Chelsea in the Customer Service area - getting things actually scheduled from the Operations area appears to be near impossible.
I know that Chelsea and her colleagues understand the frustration - we are living with ducts that are not completely finished off and an exterior that needs a cover but it seems impossible to get this over the line and completed.
Last week for example an individual was going to come and give us timelines on the last 3 things that are needed. After a day at the residence they just didn't turn up.
I understand that there are times when emergencies take priority over already scheduled appointments and the like but it's the not knowing that becomes the frustration.
MY ASK OF ACS IS TO GET YOUR OPERATIONS ORGANIZATION SORTED so that when your Customer Service team is trying to make a customer happy that there is not this continuing sense of disappointment.
I marvel at the reviews that talk of the amazing service - and I believe that ACS implements good systems but candidly it all doesn't matter when you don't get the job done in a timely manner and its seemingly impossible to get a date out of anyone that the company will adhere to.
I hope that the Management and ownership read this review. I am not a manic, disaffected customer - quite the opposite in fact I want to be an advocate for a business (and I do believe that ACS has high quality technicians) - maybe it's just that you are so successful that you have so much work and that my comments don't matter.
