Always a bad experience coming here. Never again.
It's an electrical wholesale house so you expect what you buy to be new / unused and in good condition.
I won't go into detail about previous visits and those let downs other than to say I wouldn't have ever returned this last time except out of necessity.
I called every local electrical supply house looking for a specific part because I needed it that same day (instead of ordering online and waiting).
Out of options I reluctantly called A/C Wholesale and was surprised they had the part. I asked several questions to make sure he understood what I was asking for and he assured me he had the part and that it was new.
I drove a very long distance only to discover I had been lied to. Part was obviously used, worn & dirty. I asked him why he would do this and he proceeded to say he would clean it for me by licking his finger and wiping it on his shirt ?!
I told him I just drove two hours in traffic for this and he starts to deny that part is used and tells me he has more. He brings out the box (wrong brand name on box) and inside the others are worse, cracked areas, more stains dirt etc. Finally he admits they are all used but that I should be grateful that he has them and starts yelling at me and saying I can't get them anymore. I pull out my phone and show them to him on both amazon & ebay brand new.
But I've already told the client, who needs power by today, that I've gone to get part so I have to eat my pride and buy it. When I ask the price, thinking it will now be much lower after he has admitted part is old & used, he quotes the same price as new - actually more than amazon/ebay new.
With no choice I buy the part above retail knowing it will be used temporarily until I can order a new on online (which will now cause me to lose more money and time having to go back and reinstall a new one when it arrives later).
I get back to job site, start to install and the part and cracks like a potato chip! It must have had an hairline stress crack from previous use or abuse.
Lesson learned. Read the other poor reviews for this place.
I've spoken with other electricians and heard that the only reason they are still in business is that one of their customers got a minority award contract for the stadium build and he purchased everything through them which saved them. But now they are riding on fumes.
Oh, and although I was upset I also asked for a box of GFCI plugs anyways before I left - ""We don't have any"". (?!) Really? Any? Not any ivory, white, 15amp, 20amp, faceless, TR, WP, etc. any?? This is not an electrical wholesale house it's a garage sale. Avoid.

I've been buying from AC Wholesale Electric for many many years now, and they're my go to for parts. Only decided to leave a review because I was really surprised to see all the negative reviews, though that's probably because folks here seem to all be complaining about returns - I guess I come from an upbringing where people don't just return stuff - it's a burden on the shop, especially if stuff is open, used, the packaging becomes damaged etc,. No wonder big box stores now do ""credit checks"" for returns using people's IDs. All of those people complaining they can get stuff at Home Depot cheaper, good for them. Go pad profits to those big box stores. I'm happy supporting small local business who carry the exact parts I need.
In my experience, they're upfront and straightforward with pricing, and they always have what I need in stock or a short order away. I come to AC Wholesale first, and happily do so.

I don't know why this place get such a bad rap. These guys have been open on Saturday for as long as I can remember, and yes, the owner can be quite rough sometimes

Really glad they have what I need it on a Saturday morning
Charging $80.00 for a $30.00 hole saw not cool.
All it takes is one time and I look elsewhere

There one of the best wholesalers around. I've worked with him 20 years and sometimes they can't get stuff not their fault these other comments people are making, wrong! they're great people and want to help and do help so ignore those few idiots that don't know what they're talking about thank you .

Done with using them as my electrical supplier. Called and checked if they had what my electrician needed and they said yes, sent one of my guys over to pick it up, was way more than quoted on the phone and not even what the electrician wanted. Sent my guy back three hours later to return and they wanted to charge a 25% restocking fee.

I don't why this place has so many lousy reviews, they're actually one of my favorite electric supply shops in town - and they're open saturdays!

HORRIBLE. I was at this place today and witnessed one of the most disrespectful exchanges ever in customer service. And looking at the historical comments above I think all are well-deserved and properly warranted. The sarcastic, know-it-all counter boy asked a customer who was upset he had been sold the wrong light for his closet, ""Are you growing weed with these lights? That's what most customers are using them for."" Like, ""Da fuq, Snot?!"" You sold him the wrong crap and tried to diss the man for calling you on it. The customer showed restraint telling him how he screwed up. No one and I mean not one rep is inviting or customer oriented. This is a culture. The owner was there. When I first came in, no greeting or stand by please. The female corpse that lazily sweeps the floor by the heels of her dragging feet 'zombies' about the place avoiding work and appears to be very thirsty all the time. I guess the old grey mare ain't what she's used to be so turn her to glue soon since she just sticks around anyway. The closet and fetch rat, Johnnie is the closest thing to a professional. However, I could not wait to leave. Had it not been for my important need of a product they had in stock I would have left the sh*t on the counter, deuced them up and yelled, ""Peace, Bee-otchez!"" on my exit.
I'll never return! I'll find a more respectful alternative in LA.

I had a very bad experience at AC Wholesale Electric. Service is unfriendly if not rude. Prices quoted were different depending on who you are talking to. The first person quoted $40 for a circuit breaker, then a second sales person charged me $56, I canceled this due to the way I was treated and walked out . I went to Best LA Electical on nearby Pico, they did not have the model that I needed, they the great guys there called three other stores trying to help me get what I wanted, non had it. I had to go back to AC Wholesale insisted that I would only by a quoted by the first person, $40, when I got in my car, still with a bitter taste having to face these rude people and noticed that he actually charged me $45. I would never give these people my money again. Their attitude actually spoiled my day- avoid if at all possible Best LA Electrical on pico is not only nicer, it is cleaner, more organized and the price is about 40% cheaper.

Terrible service. Bored salespeople. Uninformed. They do not care. I had a specific cover in mind to cover a small hole in the floor made by a coaxial cable. The bored guy said: just fill it in with silicone.
