I went in on a Saturday to buy a GFR circuit breaker that was not available at other retailers. I special ordered the item through AC and was told that it would be $65 and it would come Tuesday or Wednesday. I looked online at Amazon and saw that the breaker I needed was $50 so I ordered it through Amazon.
To be fair to AC, I went back and offered to pay the shipping charges. They made me pay 25% of $96 which was their new retail price for the breaker. I paid $22.50 for a restocking fee and left without a breaker. They did not offer me a receipt the first time or second time.

I went back to return two light fixtures that we decided they were not what we needed.
I bought them reluctantly because I don't know anything about electrical supplies - however - I went ahead and got them because sales person encouraged me to get them with the assurance that if they didn't work out - that I could bring them back.
Unfortunately - it was all talk and a lot of hassle to bring the fixtures back.
Although I brought them back in their original box with all the original packaging and not used - the sales guy charged me a re-stocking fee and told me that he never assured me that I would get a full refund.
Very disappointing experience..

This place is awful. It's dumpy and disorganized. The staff is rude and doesn't speak English. They didn't have what I needed and they acted like it was my fault for wanting something they didn't have. They didn't even try to help me find an alternative solution.

AC Electrical is a triple threat: a) dishonest, b) the worst customer service you'll likely ever experience and c) overall just a mushroom cloud of bad vibes. I called to see if they had a part. They assured me they did. I asked how much, they responded: ""Forty dollars."" I drove there, and waited behind one person in front of me as the lone employee, a fifty-something Persian gentleman, attended to her. As I waited two more gentlemen walked in behind me. The employee served the person in front of me...and completely ignored me as he started filling orders for the other two gentlemen who came in after me. I would've been fine if the employee apologized for having to serve his regular customers, but he took nearly 10 minutes filling the orders of the other two guys who came in after me. At this point, I've been waiting over 10 minutes when he finally looks at me and grunts something under his breath which I can only assume may've been ""What do you want?"" I ask for the part, he goes into his rack of shelves and a THIRD man walks in. The employee stops down on my request, goes over to the third man, they exchange words in Persian and the employee starts filling the third man's request instead of mine. When he's done with the third man, he retreats back to his shelves for another 5 minutes, brings out a part to show me that isn't the one I asked for, goes back to his shelves for another 2-3 minutes and...(drumroll)...tells me they don't actually have the part he told me they had on the phone!!! Me: ""But...you said you had it...you gave me a specific price! Forty dollars..."" Employee just stares at me blankly. No apology, no explanation...completely remorseless and with no concern about my experience whatsoever.
It felt like a prank show...like there could've been hidden cameras everywhere and Howie Mandel was going to pop out and tell me I'd been Punk'd.
My experience was almost so bad it was good...I almost encourage people to go there JUST to get the whole overall AC Electrical experience. Just don't go if you actually need something and need to be somewhere else in the next three hours.

I was looking for some special LED supplies and these guys had a great selection. The service was great, they go the extra mile. They take good care of shark fisherman

Horrible company to work with, unprofessional and truly bad customer service.
I bough a bunch of items plus 4 adapters, yet they had only 2 in stock. They said come next week and pick it up. They didn't have it by then yet so I bought it somewhere else and they said they will give me a credit for the 2 I've paid for. That's fair I guess although I would have preferred a refund. I asked for a receipt or a store credit ticket yet they didn't have anything like that so they said "" just come by, we'll have you in the system"".
So a few weeks later I went back and got a few items and asked to use the credit. No one know what I was talking about. I was talking to the guy i was dealing with and he said he remembered but he's not so sure.The owner's wife pulls up the receipt after an hour of looking for it on the computer and says I've paid for 4 adapters but it doesn't say I only picked up 2 anywhere. Now, they all know I had that issue, they recognize me and remember that they were 2 adapters short , but they all act like I'm almost not there and trying to pass the time without really helping me. I had to pay full price for the other items I picked up and never got the credit. it was a clear cut case of bullshit that cost me $80. I've bought twice from them before and spent over 500$ each time, and they had no desire to help or to get to the bottom of it.
I will probably do a charge back on my credit card, but I will never buy from them again. Don't buy from them.

Overall rude employees and think one was the owner. I went in on 2/19/14 and bought a number of switches and faceplates in different colors as I wasn't sure what would look best with the backsplash tile. The gentlemen said I could bring back whatever didn't work out. I went in again today, 2/21/14 to return the products as I decided to go with another option. Not only did it take about 15 minutes to process the return, they charged me a 25% restocking fee. Had I known about the fee and not been told I could return product I never would have purchased multiple colors so casually. I wound up paying these guys almost $50 for them doing no work for the two days I had their product.

The two ""staff"" members could not have been less enthusiastic and certainly could not have been more rude. They seem to have absolutely no idea how to help someone solve a problem. This is the WORST store I've ever been too.
I would give them minus stars.

Horrible unreliable people.
They do not hold inventory, so when their website says ""in stock"", that just means they will order it from the manufacturer. In may case it took 2 weeks for the manufacturer to ship it out to the AC Wholesale. Then they claimed it would take 1-2 days to ship the item to me and 2 days of freight time to arrive in NYC....none of which is true. It took 3-4 days to ship the item out and then 3-5 days for the freight to reach me. So it total, it took 25 days for me to receive the a/c unit with ~8 calls on my part along the way and regular lies from them trying to make unkempt promises so that I don't cancel the order.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I found the staff to be extremely rude, incompetent, and unhelpful. And if that wasn't enough they also overcharge. Go somewhere else for your electrical needs.
