Surprise!!! You owe $150 for a service call that earlier in the day you confirmed was covered by your maintenance agreement and warranty on an expensive thermostat replacement just a few months ago. When did you find out??? After the work is completed. (#970760 1/24/2024). And . . . . the fee is made known at the end of repair work that was indeed a result of faulty workmanship six months ago which I reluctantly paid several thousand dollars for. Why such a high cost for the original work??? (#906499 8/25/2023). Because Joseph 8/25/2023 tech said during a 100+ degree heat wave that Abacus would have the send the Lenox parts under warranty in for credit before he could start work. (Lenox Corporate later said this statement was not true). Don't bother calling a manager. They don't return calls. Weeks or sometimes a few months later the customer service calls but in reality they cannot do anything. It seems like you can count on Abacus to charge every customer something even when Abacus says something different in the beginning.

Had a breaker go out that caused us to lose power in the living room. Called Abacus to see how much it costs to replace the breaker ...The electrician said that our two breaker panels need to be completely redone because it wasn't wired correctly by the builder, and our house will catch fire if we just replace that bad breaker that went out! He refused to only change the bad breaker out, saying he would be held liable if our house caught fire. He quoted us $20K to redo the breaker panels! And left us without power to our living room, but not without charging us $200 for a ""diagnostic fee"". I called another electrician immediately for a second opinion. He verified that Abacus was not telling us the truth and he fixed the problem without hesitation. After the stress that Abacus has caused me today, and no less charging me for it as a ""diagnostic fee"" I will be filing reports on them with various entities for fraudulent business practices. They need to be held accountable...

Hell no. I called them out because I had a faulty temperature sensor on my tankless water heater. That's been working fine up until yesterday. Because I heard them advertise on the 740 a.m. radio I thought they must be good. What a joke.
So I ask him how much the charge was and he said they charge $500 for diagnostic and then another $500 to fix the issue. I told him just forget it man I can buy a brand new tankless water heater for $1100. He then says wait a minute causes boss and says OK I'll do it for 397. But then the guy comes out and never opens the water heater, but starts checking my entire house for code. He spends more time checking my gas meter and then all my appliances and then says you need a high-pressure meter and a regulator at every gas device in my house at $500 each. So
Now we the total is $400
An hour plus $2500 for regulators and we henhasnt even looked at the tankless water heater..!I at this point I asked can you just fix the temperature sensor on the tankless as it's been running fine for
Months. So he calls his boss and says no we make repairs because at this point we have to put everything up to code 1st..
I looked up the issue myself and it's a water temperature sensor that I found at a parts house for $12. I mean at this point I could literally take out the tankless and put a regular water heater back in there for 500 bucks. This place is a money scheme, and they are only coming out to figure out how they can rape you and not fix your issues . This is a warning to everyone do not use abacus plumbing unless you want to be screwed over from the start. They knew what they were doing and that's how they operate to make money..

We called Abacus Plumbing to quote us a price to replace a kitchen faucet. We were given a quote of $495.00. Is this ok?

I called them to. Heck on my HVAC system. I had explained I have one unit with 2 zones and one of the zone is working fine but the other is not. They were quick to take all the information and gave the appointment. I asked is there any charge, I was told no charge to come out. Here I where they get you. They said no charge to come out, once technician was here he said there will be $199 diagnostic charge.
This is unethical. I did not ask him to come and look at my home. I had called them for a specific problem.
Buyer be aware.

Horrible experience. What should have been a VERY simple faucet installation after new countertops and cost $400 ended up costing more than $1000 after refusing several services pushed on us and a refusing a ""membership"" we didn't want and were pressured to sign up for. Additionally, after paying $1000 for approximately 45 minutes worth of work, the plumber neglected to turn the water to the dishwasher back on and caused problems with our dishwasher. Had to call them the next day to come back and fix what they had ""installed."" Avoid them and use anyone else.

They Overcharge for installation for 2 ceiling fans I went with someone else. Do not go with them

Beware! Signed up annual maintenance contract for HVAC equipment. Technician came over, said he had to shut down all Furnaces due to severe Carbon Monoxide leaks. Quoted $16,000 in urgent repairs or lives would be in danger.
Got 2nd opinion...$200 part was needing replacement.
Bought carbon monoxide detector..ZERO issues here.
SCAM artists..do NOT let Abacus in your home for 'maintenance' work. They will use this time to find (or cause) problems that don't exist, then attempt to scare you into paying $$$$$$ for 100% unnecessary repairs.
Now I know how they afford heavy TV advertising..

We called Abacus due to a shower back up. The technician had no idea what was wrong but charged us over $500 to power wash the pipes. We flooded again the next morning because it was a sewer back up. When I called to complain I was told they wouldn't have known that. Who would know what the problem was if not the so called ""professionals""? They were supposed to call me back after I called to complain but I have not heard a word back from Jonathon after leaving a message. I would never use this company again.

bunch of incompetent and indifferent managers living there. fourteen different expert technicians and my ac unit you installed is still making explosive bangs.
