Do not use abacus. Multiple reasons. First reason. They sold me an air conditioner and within 2 years the same guy that sold me this top of the line, won't need anything else forever type air conditioner sat in my living room and told me it was obsolete when I bought it. Second reason. We were flooded by Harvey and had a lot of construction work done. We had Abacus come out to clean the vents. They cleaned the vents and ended up separating the vent ducts from their boxes up in the attic letting a whole bunch of heat into our house and $600 light bills. After my handyman found it, we got abacus out here to fix the problem. Fixing the problem has taken well over 6 months.
It has resulted in a leaking vent and stained ceiling. We got them out here to fix that, and they ruined most every vent cover in the house including the brand new sheetrock it was attached to in the house. They came out to fix that after multiple phone calls, and they fixed it by using caulking around the gaps between the vents and the sheetrock. Then slathered some paint on it. Got them to come out and look at that and they sent their handyman to paint and fix the issues from the last technician. He ended up turning the vents the wrong way did it halfway a fair job at painting the ceiling, but the colors didn't match , and you can tell every place is he missed. Finally, I had to get a bid from my handyman to paint and fix all of the problems created by abacus. Third reason. When they say they're going to follow up with you, don't believe them. when they say there going to be there in person to inspect what their technicians are doing, don't believe them they are lying . Reason four . I have called multiple times asking to speak to a boss, like the owner, and all they do is let me talk to some poor sap technician who has no more Authority then the last 10 people I talked to. Do not use abacus! when they say Integrity they lie, there is zero Integrity in at least the HVAC department of abacus.

I had two water heaters replaced for $5000. I was in a hurry so I did not get a second quote. Their tech that quoted me cited additional work due to the location in my attic as to the reason for the high price. Turns out they did none of the extra work. Getting a follow up quote later I found this job should have been $3500. These guys did adequate work and finished when they said they would, but please get a second quote. You will be glad you did.

I schedule a visit which was easy to do but, when the tech came he went straight to the outside unit, and just by looking at it said it was the wrong unit and the only solution was for us to replace it. I am not against his assessment but the way he did it. It looks like an easy sale for him. I won't call them back and won't recommend them based on this experience, not saying they're bad but the guy did not even take the time to ""learn"" from me what the issue was, in fact, he said is an issue with all new houses in the area which I don't believe.

Miguel Sanchez was able to perform an HVAC inspection on a recent AC install from another company that was a bad install and violated 5 building codes from what I know as it isn't hard to figure out flexible AC ducts should not touch the furnace exhaust pipes aka flues as the ducts may catch fire. Miguel found 7 more violations and advised me to call TDLR and pass along his report. He mentioned the Texas Dept of Licensing and Registration process gives AC companies 3 to 5 days to correct the problem or they lose their license. Hopefully I won't need to go to small claims now. I recommend using Abacus to verify your AC install from another company to insure they did it right. I called at 11:30pm Saturday night and Miguel was at my house 9am Sunday. Best $125 I've ever spent. Perfect.

Called on a Saturday, around 3:45 p.m. I was informed that if technician shows after 6 p.m., there would be a $150 service fee. I agreed, thinking it was reasonable if the quote wasn't outrageous and he could fix it that day given that they have a 24hr service. At 5:58 p.m., technician called to say that he was available. Imagine that. It took all of 45 seconds to explain that I had a small puncture in a plumbing pipe and he went back to his van to go ""work up the options"". He came back with a quote north of $2,100 and wouldn't be able to get to it before the next day (at the earliest). The price is outrageous. My usual plumber could get to it on Monday (at a cost of around $400), 24hrs after Abacus, but at cost that is less than 25% of their absurd quote. I laughed at the quote, telling him no and he replied (laughing), ""Yeah, I didn't think so either. Paying more than $2,100 is expensive"". It's pretty clear he wasn't planning to come prior to 6:00 as to make an easy $150 to simply present a quote. I'm chalking up the wasted money as a ""stupid tax"". I won't make the same mistake twice.

DO NOT USE ABACUS!
I had Abacus come out and look at my AC Condenser and they recommended to replace. Abacus quoted $5700 to replace, and i was able to get it done for $3200 with a higher quality unit than they quoted.

Had a failure in a Lennox AC evaporator coil still under warranty (W
which has been the subject of a settled class action law suit). The system worked fine until this coil failed but apparently Lennox coins of this era always fail. These guys told me I needed an entirely new AC unit and furnace, quoting 7,000 and 9,000 USD depending on which system I got. They never told me about the warranty issue (and keep in mind that this is a Lennox dealer). Second and third opinions from other companies was simply install a warranty replacement coil, total cost for labor under 900 USD. So be very careful dealing with Abacus. They will try to upsell you egregiously.

My AC was not blowing cool air and making a horrible noise in the attic. Contacted Abacus and they sent a technician out the very next day. The tech was on time, professional and efficient in the troubleshooting. He had identified the issue to a bad motor, cage and capacitor within the unit.
He came back with the itemized list of needed repair parts, and since my unit is over 14 years old, ""they are hard to come by"" totaling 2k (without labor). My other option was a brand-new system for 6K or 12K.
I thanked him and paid the service fee, took his itemized list and searched the internet.
I found all the parts including a contactor that was not part of the original quote for less than $400.00
I immediacy called there office and terminated any service agreement with them.

Terrible service. Only the owner is genuine, however if you look, they have many commercials (Print Ads, TV, and Radio; like on 106.9 ""The Eagle"" with Dean & Rog). How can they afford these advertisements? Because they charge like 5 or even 20 times what the repair should cost! Their service technicians are SALESMEN! Pure and simple. Most, not all, are very rude and patronizing. They will treat you as if you're very ignorant. Fortunately for me, I am a discerning consumer, and can spot a scam a mile away. It's all a scam. Buyer beware! Their shiny 150 vehicle fleet is a dead give away. Their nice uniforms would have you believe they're strictly professionals; they are not. Alan O'Neill is a very nice guy (owner), but his crews are ruining his business. They wanted, at one point, $50,000 to replace my air conditioner, then $18,000 to just repair it! Then I got a reputable company to replace it for 66 times lower than (or 0.015% of) Abacus' price! Abacus also did a lot of damage in their evaluation, which forced me to seek dry wall repairs and a painter (more money). Their top level technician, a Supervisor, talked down to my wife and I on more than one occasion. At one point, he admonished me! All of this is criminal.
