Extremely unprofessional, promised work to be done and never did it.
Do not ever use them if referred by home warranty company.
Travel B.First American Home Warranty sent A Wisdom Electric Company to my home due to a circuit breaker tripping. First American gave me their contact number so I called them. An appointment was scheduled for Thursday, with a time frame of 9-1. Later that afternoon I received a call and was asked if they could change the service call (11:00 -3:00), which I agreed. I share this, because it might be a window to their way of business. Alex arrived at 1:20 pm and proceeded to look at the panel and the area it covers. When he was ready to come in the house, I asked if he could wear gloves (which I offered a pair) as my husband just finished chemotherapy. He then told me ""well you could then just turn it on"" ( the switch) which I agreed to. After a few minutes he walked in the house and when I again offered gloves, he said ""I can't wear them"". Not only did he refuse to wear gloves, he also wore his mask under his nose.
After working on the switch for a bit he said he was done and proceeded to tell me that he disconnected two switches. I asked him to show me which he did reluctantly. He informed me that the wires ran to a box near my pond and that it was not covered under the warranty. I asked the cost of the repair as I wanted the issue resolved. He responded by saying that he did not have time to figure it out right now, but if it was covered he would have to fix it. I was appalled with his attitude and lack of professionalism. He didn't even attempt to schedule a date to return to fix the problem. Perhaps the work was out of his depth of knowledge?!? Alex did not have me sign anything and left my house at 1:50 pm.
Why would I want a company to come out to my house to fix only part of the problem? I was willing to pay what was not covered. I don't understand why First American Home Warranty works with contractors that are not willing to complete a job. When I called First American Home Warranty the person who received the call said they have had many complaints about contractors refusing to wear mask, gloves, and shoe booties, but she said that First American refuses to do anything about it. In addition, she informed me that First American cannot make a contractor take a ""retail job"" (fix an item that is not covered by warranty but the customer is willing to pay). This just proves that First American Home Warranty and the contractors they partner with do not care about the customer. First American Home Warranty wants the premium and the contractors want the easy money. I would have much rather just called an electrician myself and put the $75.00 service call fee towards the cost of the complete repair. I am so disappointed in First American Home Warranty and A Wisdom Electric Company. I would not recommend either company.
This company was contracted my FAHW! Claim was opened on Friday afternoon. Alex contacted me on Monday for an appointment that same afternoon. They showed up on time and were able to figure out the electrical problem after some troubleshooting. Work was done very quick and clean. Thanks Alex for bringing power back to our house.
Sheri S.American Home Shield sent this company to try and fix my ceiling fans. I wasn't too impressed with their work. My personal opinion is they dont seem to have employees with experience. The guy came and wasn't here no more than mins and couldn't fix the issue. Left said he'll need to make some calls and its been a week now and I haven't heard from anyone for an update. I made a call to my local electrician company they came the next day and fix the issue in 15 mins. So I would recommend going with a company that is a bit more professional and takes pride in their work and customers satisfaction. Once again please note this was
based on my personal experience and opinion.
Miel M.We were sent Alex from Wisdom Electric on the referral from American Home Shield. On a super hot Memorial Day weekend, two of our ceiling fans went crazy. My husband emailed for an electrician not thinking we'd get a call until the next day as it was a holiday, but we got a call within 30 minutes from Alex giving us a couple of days/times to pick from. I picked the next day as it was so hot and Alex came right on time and we recognized each other as he had done some great work for us with AHS in our last condo a few years ago. I was so happy I had him again as he was so knowledgeable, and even explained everything to me in detail, was fast and efficient, and could get the job done correctly! In fact one of the fans we had hired a handy man to fix and he couldn't. Then we just happened to look at our AHS policy and noticed it covered ceiling fans and voila... Alex saved the day and now I won't suffocate in my own house on lock-down! If you need an honest, reliable, professional, and super nice electrician, call this company and ask for Alex. You won't be disappointed!
BaoQi D.I used this company through work ordered by AHS. The technician showed up on time. He not only fixed my problems but also explained my other electrical concerns around the house. He's very patient and has a good working attitude. I highly recommend this company.
Tim S.Knowing that any type of warranty claim is hit and miss, I consider myself fortunate that our service call with Wisdom Electric Co. was great. I submitted warranty claim on thurs night and had an electrician here by 1pm the next day. Electrician was friendly and answered all of my questions. Problem tracked down and solved! Very happy with service call.
This Alex removed my grounding and told me he did then when i told First American home Warranty he denied ever telling me that. Refused to come back out. First American says they are not responsible for that. I Would never known he moved it unless he told me. I Hate any service done where the customer is left with no kind of recourse.
All they had to do is come back out as my contract receipt shows where grounding installed wires were done for Circuit safety. Check it and put it back. Bad business when the customer don't matter.
Think and be aware of this Alex i think he is acting like two people. and this warranty company sucks to i am just getting to see that.
Useless. More of what others have posted. Either he's lazy or doesn't know what he's doing. Unwilling to properly diagnose a faulty circuit and recommend a rewire to my POS home warranty company.
Barbara L.Horrible service by this company sent by a Horrible Home Warranty Company. Alex, the Service Rep and I think is the owner too as I have called repeatedly regarding an electric problem and it always goes to his voice mail - no company answers. He was sent to fix two lights which we were informed are not covered under our policy (what is?). He had said, after I paid the $75.00 fee, he would order the parts and fix it at our cost if our Insurance didn't pay. Well, our insurance refused and he has not returned one of the numerous phone calls, messages, etc. to us in over four weeks.
