If I could give ZERO stars I would! I have no idea how they got ANY 5-star reviews, maybe friends and family? It certainly wasn't what I experienced. Bruce, the owner, was unprofessional and extremely rude, once the job was over. I had to call back and request he come back out because of a problem with the installation. He got a nasty tone in his voice and was very rude, continually talked over me and would not let me explain the problem. When I finally could speak, he just made excuses one after another about why he didn't feel he needed to come back and complete the work. He has very poor communication skills, and no follow-up, just left us hanging. We will never use this company again and I'm letting everyone know what my experience with them was like.

Bruce and his folks are top notch. Professional, courteous, and skilled. He replaced my old electric panel without a hitch. They even found some old circuits that were not going to anything and disconnected them to avoid a hazard. Scheduling of PG&e and city inspections all taken care of by Bruce. I am sure I will be calling 5 star in the future for my electrical needs. Call these guys if you need help.

OK, I basically want to adopt Bruce. What a truly good human being he is, on top of being a first-rate electrician and great source of referrals for other work. We moved to SLO in August but needed to have a charging station put in for our car before we arrived. Bruce determined that our panel was at its max. He and his team put in a new panel, cleaned up a bunch of unsightly wires running along the house, even took down the old rusty Dish satellite on the roof for no charge! During the months before we moved in, Bruce installed more needed plugs and kept an eye on the house. He texted my husband a picture of the lawn, which was getting very dry, and suggested bumping up the watering a little. Tommy even came over and plugged in the pheromone dispensers that would calm our cat when he arrived to our new home! Bruce's wife Courtney manages the office efficiently and is warm and cheerful on the phone.These guys are the ABSOLUTE BEST.

I WILL BE A LIFETIME CUSTOMER OF 5 STAR ELECTRIC. I needed an upgraded electrical panel and a garage wired for woodworking hobby. Since I'm new to the area, I was very apprehensive about finding a good electrician. After reading the reviews on Yelp for 5-Star Electric I took a gamble and called. That was absolutely the best choice I could have made. Bruce gave me an estimate based on my specific needs and want list. 5Star arrived on time on the scheduled installation day. They were incredibly neat and efficient. My project went beautifully. Bruce and his crew even added a few little touches that raised the bar on customer service. A few weeks later, I was having major electrical problems as a result of hiring a untrained handyman. I called 5 Star Electric for help. Bruce arrived and was able determine the source of the problem and had all my electrical problems resolved within a little over an hour. Trust me- call 5 Star Electric. You will NOT be sorry

I needed to have a light fixture replaced that is 13 feet high above a stairway in my home. After being unable to pin down another electric company as to price and when they could
come and do the job, I called 5 Star Electric. Within a few minutes I had a price ($120 for the first hour of work) and an appointment for a couple of days later. Tommy arrived right on time and did a terrific job in replacing the old fixture and installing the new one. He was efficient, cooperative and easily got the job done before the hour was up. I would call them for other electrical work in a second.

At risk of sounding like a repeat from previous customers, I similarly had a great experience using 5-Star (like the name would infer) Electric. They completed a small project (bathroom fan installation) on time and under budget. Bruce & Tommy were very professional - both in timeliness and treating my property like it was their own.
