For nearly a decade, she worked with The City of Dallas, gaining experience in motor and refrigeration circuits, safety lighting, wiring for hazardous areas, and basic electrical work. She was instrumental in the design and upkeep of electrical systems for various public buildings, including libraries, fire stations, and police facilities.
She left The City the day before her first son was born (she has two grown sons) and decided to shift her focus to her family. As her children were growing up, Anna handled small projects while her mother looked after them. As more opportunities arose, Anna had built a small business by the time her boys began preschool.
The business flourished solely through word of mouth. I relied entirely on customer referrals for advertising. I have never forgotten that every customer can make or break my business.
