Anna received her journeyman electrical license back in 1978. She became one of the early female licensed electricians in Dallas, TX. Anna spent close to ten years at The City of Dallas, gaining experience in motor and refrigeration circuits, safety lighting, hazardous location wiring, and basic electrical work. She contributed to the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems for libraries, fire stations, police buildings, and park facilities.
Anna departed from The City just before her first son arrived (she has two grown sons) and opted to redirect her career for her kids. During their early years, Anna accepted small jobs while her mother cared for the boys. More jobs came her way, and by the time the boys started preschool, Anna had established a small business.
