In 1978, Anna earned her journeyman electrical license. She was among the first women licensed in Dallas, TX. Anna spent close to ten years at The City of Dallas, where she trained in motor and refrigeration systems, security lighting, dangerous location wiring, and general wiring. She contributed to the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems for libraries, fire stations, police buildings, and park facilities.
She exited The City the day prior to the birth of her first son (she has two grown sons) and chose to pause her career for her children. As her children were growing up, Anna handled small projects while her mother looked after them. With an increasing number of jobs, Anna had created a small business by the time her sons entered preschool.
The business flourished solely through word of mouth. I have always depended on customer referrals as my sole marketing strategy. I understand that every customer has the power to influence my business's future.
