The inception of City Electric in Stephenville, TX in the late 1940s by Mr. E.L. Stephens. He transformed the company into a highly regarded service provider, quickly earning a reputation for trustworthiness. For over three decades, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after launching the business. In time, Mr. Stephens chose to retire to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. Mr. David Bragg was that individual.

In 1982, Mr. Stephens asked Mr. Bragg to buy the enterprise. Of course, David saw this as an incredible chance to own such a reputable company and seized the opportunity.

In 1986, David saw that the expanding company needed to broaden its horizons, so he established the business under the name “Stephenville City Electric, Inc.”.

I relocated to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University, settled down, raised a family, and called it home. I proudly call this town home, and I enjoy being a business owner. This venture has opened many opportunities to expand and thrive not only my business but also valuable friendships. We began with electrical services and added Watson Insulation under our management. I am excited about future expansion this year with the start of our solar power division.
