In 1950, Theron Gamblin founded Basin Electric. In 1951, O.D. Schoolcraft and his teenage son Charles began their careers with the fledgling company. Four generations of the Schoolcrafts have been integral to the Basin Electric family since then. Yet, the success of the company is not solely attributed to the Gamblin and Schoolcraft families. The commitment of our employees and their families has played a crucial role in the company’s development over the years. We began our journey in 1950 with a mere six employees. In the tough economic climate of the mid-80s, while many companies shut down, we continued with only three staff members. Now, Basin Electric is proud to be a family of more than sixty committed employees. In 2014, we embraced the future by merging with a local tech firm, Just Macs, owned by Henry Greer. This merger allowed us to evolve into Basin Electric & Technology.
