The inception of Basin Electric took place in 1950, thanks to Theron Gamblin. Soon after, in 1951, O.D. Schoolcraft and his son Charles embarked on their journey with the emerging company. The Schoolcraft family has been part of the Basin Electric story for four generations. However, the Gamblin and Schoolcraft families are not the sole contributors to the company’s success. Throughout the years, the hard work of Basin Electric's staff and their families has been essential to our growth. In 1950, we started with just six employees. In the tough economic climate of the mid-80s, while many companies shut down, we continued with only three staff members. Today, Basin Electric has grown into a family of over sixty dedicated employees. In 2014, we took a significant step forward by merging with Just Macs, a local technology company led by Henry Greer. As a result of this acquisition, we became Basin Electric & Technology.
