Anna spent close to ten years at The City of Dallas, acquiring skills in motor and refrigeration wiring, safety lighting, dangerous location wiring, and basic electrical work. She contributed to the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical systems for libraries, fire stations, police buildings, and park facilities.
She left The City the day before her first son was born (she has two grown sons) and decided to shift her focus to her family. During their early years, Anna accepted small jobs while her mother cared for the boys. More jobs came her way, and by the time the boys started preschool, Anna had established a small business.
