Founded in Dallas, Texas, on April 1, 1977, Humphrey & Associates began as an Electrical Contractor serving the Dallas/Ft. Worth construction markets. Since we started, our growth has been steady and well-managed. Our commitment to teamwork and active participation in the construction community has enabled us to expand and diversify.

In April 1981, the Humphrey & Associates Inc. Stock Ownership Plan and Trust acquired fifty percent of the common stock not held by Steve Humphrey. As a result, our employees, known as Associates, hold 50 percent of the company's stock. After one year with us, employees start accumulating shares, making them part-owners of Humphrey & Associates. In 1981, the corporation made a significant move by gifting half the stock to employees through an employee stock ownership plan, truly embodying the term ""associates"".

H&A began with a focus on electrical contracting and design projects in the Metroplex; in 1986, we opened a branch office in Mt. Pleasant to expand our services. In 1995, we expanded our offerings by adding a mechanical group, delivering a full MEP team package; later in the '90s, we opened a main office in Fort Worth and an additional branch in Denton. Every new service we introduce, whether past or future, aims to improve our customer service.

Skyler's electrical career started when he was only 12. He continued in this field until he was 21, at which point he joined the military. After 3.5 years of active duty in the Army, he returned to the electrical field while still in the Army Reserve. He received his journeyman’s license in 2016 and is actively seeking his master’s license. He is in charge of daily operations, ordering supplies, quality assurance, and our digital footprint.
