The Story of City Electric
City Electric was founded in Stephenville, TX in the year 1949 by Mr. E.L. Stephens. He transformed the company into a renowned service provider, quickly earning a reputation for trustworthiness. For more than thirty years, Mr. Stephens operated the successful enterprise after starting the company. In time, Mr. Stephens chose to retire to someone who could continue the legacy he had built. David Bragg was that individual.

In the year 1982, Mr. Stephens approached Mr. Bragg to buy the enterprise. Certainly, David saw this as a golden opportunity to lead a well-established business and seized the opportunity.

During 1986, David saw that the expanding company needed to broaden its horizons, so he incorporated the electrical business under the name “Stephenville City Electric, Inc.”.

I came to Stephenville to enroll at Tarleton State University, married, started a family, and made it my home. I proudly call this town home, and I take pride in owning my business. It has provided me with opportunities to grow and develop not only my business but also a network of friends. Our journey began with electrical services and expanded into Watson Insulation under our leadership. I look forward to further growth this year with the start of our solar power division.
