History of City Electric
The inception of City Electric in Stephenville, TX in the late 1940s by Mr. Stephens. Mr. Stephens developed the business into a well-respected electrical contractor, quickly earning a reputation for trustworthiness. For 33 years, Mr. Stephens managed the thriving company after starting the company. In time, Mr. Stephens chose to retire to someone who could uphold the same standards he had built. Mr. Bragg was that individual.

In the year 1982, Mr. Stephens invited Mr. Bragg to purchase the company. Of course, David saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take charge of a respected company and jumped at the chance.

By 1986, David saw that the thriving company needed to diversify its services, so he incorporated the electrical business under the name “Stephenville City Electric”.

I relocated to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University, got married, had children, and decided to stay. I proudly call this town home, and I take pride in owning my business. Owning this business has given me opportunities to build and enhance not only my business but also a network of friends. We began with electrical services and expanded into Watson Insulation under our leadership. I am excited about future expansion this year with the launch of Solar Power.
