In '82, I enrolled at Sam Houston State University while also working as an electrician. I took a break from university to work full-time for an electrical contractor for several years. Eventually, I went back to SHSU as a licensed Journeyman and worked as a Maintenance Electrician. I earned my BBA in General Business Administration from SHSU. At the same time, I received my first Electrical Master’s License from the City of Huntsville. I worked as an electrician for additional years on large commercial projects in Killeen and San Antonio. I spent 9 years in Electrical Sales at Summit Electric Supply while in San Antonio. I successfully passed the State Master’s test, launched my business in '04, and currently run six trucks.

Following his marriage to Rachel from Central-South Texas, Ed developed a deep appreciation for the region's culture and beauty.
