I founded this company on my youngest son’s third birthday, February 14. With eight years of experience in professional assembly, I can construct nearly anything. Additionally, I have 16 years of experience in general household tasks, plumbing, and electrical work.

My motivation for starting this business comes from my love for building with my sons. I aim to create a stable life for my family. We engage in small projects that allow us to connect and teach them about running a business. I love sharing new experiences with them and hope it encourages them to pass on these lessons to their families someday.

I began my journey right after high school in 1990. Thanks to my education, I secured my first position with a construction firm in Greenville, SC. From there, I advanced through trade schools and climbed the ranks. I ultimately became part of a leading global construction firm, where I worked as a Foreman until COVID-19 changed the landscape.
I realized this was a good moment to explore new paths. Having seen friends face challenges in finding quality service for their homes, and going through the same challenges, I decided to establish Rent A Guy Upstate with my daughter and youngest son.
We officially opened our doors on March 1, 2022, marking 10 days of service. During this brief period, we have successfully completed 5 or 6 jobs.
